Here's a list of 32 new restaurants with plans to open across Florida.
Florida’s restaurant pipeline is packed with new concepts ranging from breakfast spots and burger counters to seafood restaurants, breweries, lounges and coffee shops. Here are 32 projects Business Debut recently reported on across the state.
Brevard County
Gump's Golden Griddle — Rockledge
Address: 200 Barton Blvd, Rockledge, FL 32955
Status: The team was aiming to open by August 1, pending final licensing.
What to expect: Gump’s Golden Griddle is a breakfast and lunch restaurant with seating for close to 80 guests. Owners Makayla and Kyle Gump are building the brand after spending about six years operating a C’s Waffles location in Cocoa.
Menu highlights: Scratch-made breakfast and lunch dishes will include corned beef hash prepared from brisket cooked in-house, eggs Benedict, French toast, steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy and chicken tenders.
Hours: Planned daily hours are 6 a.m.–2 p.m., seven days a week. Dinner could be added later.
Who’s behind it: Makayla and Kyle Gump are leading the restaurant alongside longtime employees from their previous operation.
Gump's Golden Griddle — Titusville
Address: 2400 S Hopkins Avenue, Suite A, Titusville, FL 32780
Status: Targeting a September opening.
What to expect: The Titusville restaurant will seat about 60 guests and follow the same breakfast-forward format as the Rockledge location. The concept emphasizes familiar breakfast staples prepared from scratch.
Menu highlights: Expect homemade corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, eggs, French toast, steak and eggs, Benedicts and rotating specials.
Hours: Planned daily hours are 6 a.m.–2 p.m.
Who’s behind it: Michael Muccino is a partner in the Titusville restaurant and is working with the group behind the Rockledge Gump’s Golden Griddle.
Broward County
Meat Master Burger — Hollywood
Address: 6770 Stirling Rd, Hollywood, FL 33024
Status: Targeting a mid- to late-August opening.
What to expect: This approximately 650-square-foot kosher burger shop will sit next to Meat Master Kosher Butchery. The small space is designed primarily around counter service and takeout.
Menu highlights: Meat Master Burger plans seven or eight burger varieties, each beginning with roughly a half-pound of American beef. Fries and other straightforward burger-shop sides will round out the offering.

Who’s behind it: Butcher Avraham Dadon owns the burger concept as well as the neighboring Meat Master Kosher Butchery.
Neo Coffee and Kava — Plantation
Address: 1483 South University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324
Status: The original opening target was the first week of August as final buildout and menu work continued.
What to expect: Neo Coffee and Kava is being developed as a roughly 2,400-square-foot alcohol-free social venue with two bars, lounge seating and room for guests to work or gather. Live music, jazz, DJs and smaller performances are also planned.
Menu highlights: Coffee, kava and relaxation beverages will be joined by spirit-free cocktails. Food plans include breakfast tacos, avocado toast, grain bowls, salads, sandwiches, wraps, flatbreads, açai bowls, shakes, smoothies and cold-pressed juices.

Who’s behind it: Ruth Connors owns the concept and is handling its design and contracting through her firm, Neo Facto Design.
Duval County
Cafe 55 — Jacksonville
Address: 13799 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32224
Status: Owner Kara Sun was targeting an opening around August 20.
What to expect: Cafe 55 will be a modern casual cafe built around drinks, desserts and quick snacks. Sun previously worked as a partner in milk tea cafes in Atlanta before launching her own concept in Jacksonville.
Menu highlights: Coffee, tea, milk tea, bakery pastries, desserts, sandwiches and bagels are planned. One of the more distinctive offerings will combine shaved ice with milk tea.

Who’s behind it: Kara Sun is the owner and brings previous milk tea cafe experience to the business.
Gastro Subs — Jacksonville
Address: 9475 Philips Hwy Unit 1, Jacksonville, FL 32256
Status: The second location was expected to open roughly a month after the owners’ mid-July interview.
What to expect: The Philips Highway shop will be larger than the original Gastro Subs in Ponte Vedra. The extra space will support more customers, expanded operations and a steadier rotation of limited-time specials.
Menu highlights: The lineup includes specialty subs such as The Jacksonville, The A1A and Luna’s Tuna alongside traditional Italian subs. Hot and pressed sandwiches, clubs and vegetarian choices are also available.

Who’s behind it: Troy Busscher and Jason Malih opened the original Gastro Subs about two years ago and are now expanding the brand.
Franklin County
Sunset Wine and Tapas — Carrabelle
Address: 107 Marine St, Carrabelle, FL 32322
Status: Targeting an opening around September 1, pending inspections and certifications.
What to expect: Sunset Wine and Tapas is planned as a riverfront wine bar with indoor seating and two outdoor levels overlooking the Carrabelle River. Owner David Finkle estimated that the property could accommodate around 100 guests on busy nights when the patios are fully used.
Menu highlights: Plans center on coastal and seasonal small plates, including charcuterie, smoked mullet dip, regional cheeses, scallop ceviche, smoked grouper dip and dishes using local seafood and citrus.

Who’s behind it: David Finkle is developing the concept and also plans a two-level wine club tentatively called Redfish and Tarpon.

Outside BBQ — Brandon
Address: 2016 Town Center Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511
Status: Expected to open around October 1.
What to expect: The Brandon store will be a takeout-only expansion of Outside BBQ. It will occupy one section of a larger building that is also planned to include an event center and a separate full-service restaurant.
Menu highlights: Pulled pork, smoked brisket and chopped chicken sandwiches will join ribs, loaded fries and combo platters. Mac and cheese, baked beans and coleslaw are among the sides.

Who’s behind it: Jevonta “Tay” Godwin is expanding the concept beyond its Tampa, St. Pete Beach and Tarpon Springs locations.
Byte Burgers — Tampa
Address: 301 N Westshore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
Status: A Byte Burgers food truck was planned to begin serving first, with the permanent restaurant expected to follow several months later.
What to expect: The new Westshore location expands a brand that recently opened in Temple Terrace. Operating a truck from the property gives the owners a way to start serving customers before the brick-and-mortar space is complete.
Menu highlights: Expect cheeseburgers, truffle burgers and Lebanese-influenced choices including chicken sandwiches and falafel smash burgers.

Who’s behind it: Brothers Ali and Ahmed Mansour are growing the Byte brand and have also discussed plans for a future larger location with a full bar.
Jefferson County
Wolf Oak Brewery And Kitchen — Monticello

Status: Targeting November 1.
What to expect: Wolf Oak is planned as a nano brewery and restaurant with an open kitchen, indoor seating and patio space. Beer, cider and wine will all be fermented on the property.
Menu highlights: Owner Monya Newmyer plans sours, at least one Belgian-style beer, cider and bubbly wine. The kitchen will make bread in-house and serve dips, salads, grilled sandwiches, burgers, a meatball sandwich and baked potatoes with chimichurri.

Who’s behind it: Newmyer is an award-winning home brewer who is turning a long-held brewery and restaurant idea into a brick-and-mortar business.
Lake County
Kurosumi — Groveland
Address: 135 East Broad Street, Suite E, Groveland, FL 34736
Status: Construction was underway with a mid- to late-August opening goal.
What to expect: After roughly a year operating from a commissary kitchen, Kurosumi is moving into a permanent restaurant with a maximum occupancy of about 42. Guests will order through QR codes at their tables, with food and drinks brought out by staff.
Menu highlights: The concept combines American barbecue-style smoked meats with Japanese cooking. Ramen broth is prepared over several days, while rice balls, dumplings, sauces and smoked meats are also made in-house.

Who’s behind it: Dustin Campbell and Casey Cole are partners in the business. Campbell will run the kitchen, while his wife, Nicole Isenhour, will oversee front-of-house service.
Manatee County
Wardo's Smokin Tacos & BBQ — Bradenton
Address: 2127 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton, FL 34207
Status: Targeting September 16, although final preparations could move the date.
What to expect: Wardo’s blends smoked barbecue with Mexican cooking and West Coast influences. Guests will order at a counter before taking a seat, with employees delivering meals and handling beer and wine service.
Menu highlights: Smoked meats will be worked into tacos, burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas. Birria, carne asada, chicken, Spanish rice and refried beans are also planned.
Hours: 11 a.m.–8 p.m., closed Mondays.
Who’s behind it: Eddie and Kate Meek bring about 27 years of restaurant experience and also operate Pork Bellies in Bradenton.
Miami-Dade County
Naz's Halal — Miami
Address: 12500 SW 88th St, Miami, FL 33186
Status: Targeting an opening by the end of 2026, depending on permitting and construction.
What to expect: The Kendall-area restaurant will bring Naz’s Halal’s New York halal-cart roots into a fast-casual storefront. It will be franchisee Hussan Ali’s 10th Naz’s Halal location and his second in Florida.
Menu highlights: Chicken, gyro and lamb over rice headline the menu along with wraps, cheesesteaks, wings, fries, salads and vegetarian dishes. Ali specifically highlighted chicken served over the brand’s newer spicy rice.

Who’s behind it: Hussan Ali holds development rights in the Miami market and intends to open another three to four locations in the area.
Kavacito — Miami

Status: Planning an initial soft opening, followed by a larger marketing push and grand opening closer to fall.
What to expect: Kavacito will be a small kiosk-style beverage concept near El Turco Turkish Food and Panini & Fromage Gourmet Sandwiches.
Menu highlights: Kava beverages will be the focus, along with kava-infused matcha, teas and chaga mushroom tea.

Okaloosa County
Mambos Restaurant and Lounge — Fort Walton Beach
Address: 102 Racetrack Road NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547
Status: Co-owner Mario Jimenez was targeting an opening roughly one month after a July 20 interview.
What to expect: The approximately 6,000-square-foot venue will combine a restaurant, lounge and sports-bar atmosphere with around 200 seats. Large televisions, an LED screen and live weekend entertainment are also planned.
Menu highlights: Latin cooking will pull from Mexican, Central American, Puerto Rican and Honduran traditions. Fresh seafood and cocktails will be major parts of the concept.
Hours: Open seven days a week with later hours on weekends. Exact times are still to be announced.
Who’s behind it: Mario Jimenez is a co-owner of the tropical-themed restaurant and lounge.
Orange County
Barrio Burrito Bar — Ocoee
Address: 1688 E Silver Star Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761
Status: Training and a soft opening were targeted for August, followed by a September grand opening.
What to expect: The Canadian-born franchise uses a customizable Tex-Mex format centered on build-your-own meals. Florida is becoming an important growth market for the brand.
Menu highlights: Burritos, bowls, tacos and quesadillas make up the core menu. Nachos, loaded fries, churros and additional snack and dessert choices are also planned.

Who’s behind it: Franchisee Karan Amin has four locations in development and hopes to reach at least six Florida restaurants within three years.
Viet-Nomz — Winter Park
Address: 1330 N Orange Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
Status: The fourth Viet-Nomz location was targeting an early-August opening while the team finished construction, equipment installation and licensing.
What to expect: Viet-Nomz is taking over the former Yummii 2 Go space with a larger kitchen and preparation area. The added capacity is intended to support catering, events and development of future menu items.
Menu highlights: The restaurant uses familiar descriptions to make Vietnamese dishes approachable while retaining traditional techniques. Broth simmers for nearly 24 hours, fish sauce is used in marinades and Vietnamese-inspired tacos are among the popular choices.

Who’s behind it: Philip Nguyen founded the business with Christopher Chen and Mike Cho. The new location will also give one of the company’s longtime managers an ownership opportunity.
Desi Chowrastha Indian Eatery — Orlando

Status: Projected to open during the second week of October as interior work continues.
What to expect: Desi Chowrastha is replacing Curry Mantra Indian Cuisine and expanding the brand’s Florida presence following a recently opened St. Johns County location.
Menu highlights: Chicken, paneer, goat and egg biryanis are planned alongside samosas, dosas, curries and tandoor dishes.

Koa Sushi — Orlando

Status: The initial target was a mid-July debut, with July 15 identified as the goal.
What to expect: After operating from The Great Southern Box Company Food Hall since 2024, Koa Sushi is moving into its first standalone restaurant. The Mills 50 location will use counter service and cater to the neighborhood’s late-night crowd.
Menu highlights: Japanese, Latin and Hawaiian influences come together in dishes including Spam musubi, onigiri, poke bowls, spicy tuna rolls and California rolls.
Hours: Expected to operate roughly six days a week and remain open as late as 2 a.m. on weekends.

Palm Beach County
Smalls Sliders — West Palm Beach

What to expect: Smalls Sliders operates from its recognizable orange shipping-container-style restaurants called “cans.” The West Palm Beach location will include a drive-thru and outdoor seating.
Menu highlights: Cheeseburger sliders are paired with seasoned crinkle-cut fries and milkshakes. Combo meals and a single-slider kids meal are also part of the format.

Pinellas County
Shaka Shrimp Kitchen — St. Petersburg

What to expect: Shaka Shrimp Kitchen is taking over the roughly 2,400-square-foot former Buya Ramen space. The concept will be laid-back and fast casual, with counter service and a Polynesian- and island-inspired identity.
Menu highlights: Shrimp and ahi tuna will appear in plates, bowls, tacos, seared preparations and poke. Drinks are expected to include beer, ready-to-drink options and pre-batched cocktails including margaritas, piña coladas and punch-style beverages.

Who’s behind it: Ronan McCaffrey owns the restaurant and plans to emphasize community partnerships and responsible sourcing when possible.
Marina Grille — Clearwater Beach

Status: The original report targeted a July opening alongside the CW Resort and Marina.
What to expect: Marina Grille is the signature restaurant at the waterfront resort and adjoining 46-slip marina. Roughly 116 seats are spread between indoor and covered outdoor areas with views of the marina, Intracoastal and resort pool.
Menu highlights: New England influences show up through lobster Benedict, lobster cakes and crab cakes. The broader menu includes seafood, steaks, burgers, surf and turf, spaghetti and meatballs and occasional Serbian-inspired specials.
Hours: Weekday breakfast begins at 7 a.m. Weekend brunch runs through 2 p.m., with closing planned for 9 p.m.
Who’s behind it: Luigi Novembre owns the restaurant, with Christopher Dellinger-Flow serving as executive chef and general manager and Dijana Petrovic as lead cook.
Mrs. Thelma's Southern Cuisine — St. Petersburg

Status: The original target was August 1.
What to expect: Mrs. Thelma’s will offer dine-in and takeout service with a Southern comfort-food menu. The restaurant is named in honor of owner Melvin Holt’s late mother.
Menu highlights: Baked turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, baked chicken, fried chicken and meatloaf are planned with sides such as collard greens and black-eyed peas. Desserts will include red velvet cake, banana pudding and mini sweet potato pies.

Polk County
Bebos Cajun Kitchen — Auburndale

Status: Targeting the first couple weeks of September, although construction variables could affect that schedule.
What to expect: Bebos Cajun Kitchen revives owner Philip Williamson’s former Winter Haven concepts in a full-service format. Plans include Louisiana-themed murals, a full liquor bar, televisions and outdoor seating in an alley beside the narrow building.
Menu highlights: Po’boys, shrimp and grits, jambalaya and other Louisiana-style dishes will lead the menu. Williamson also hopes to work with local producers and nearby bakeries when possible.
Hours: Expected to operate seven days a week, with exact hours still to be determined.
Who’s behind it: Philip Williamson is reviving the Bebos name with roughly 85 indoor seats and another 25 to 30 outside.
Putnam County
Crabby Ben's Seafood & Bar — Palatka

Status: The owners were aiming to open roughly two months after their July interview while renovations and approvals continued.
What to expect: Crabby Ben’s is replacing the former Pop’s Southern Buffet with a full-service seafood restaurant geared toward families. Complimentary valet parking is also planned.
Menu highlights: Customizable boils will feature blue crab, king crab, snow crab, Dungeness crab, lobster, crawfish, shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels. Seafood rice dishes, whole fried fish, gumbo, soups and salads will broaden the selection.
Hours: To be announced. Alcohol service is expected to begin two to three months after opening while licensing is completed.
Who’s behind it: Donnell Goggins and his wife, Irie Cameron, purchased the building and are renovating it for the restaurant.
Sarasota County
Avocado's Cocina Mexicana & Bar — Sarasota
Address: 6131 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231
Status: Targeting an opening sometime in 2026.
What to expect: The Sarasota restaurant will be the family-owned brand’s third location. Plans call for about 200 seats, full table service and a complete liquor program.
Menu highlights: Traditional Mexican dishes based on family recipes will include fajitas, quesadillas and other Mexican plates. The bar will feature margaritas, Mexican tequilas and additional spirits.

Who’s behind it: Ramiro Ramirez Saldana runs Avocado’s with his immediate family. The business dates to 2013 and operated as Habaneros Mexican Grill before adopting the Avocado’s name in 2022.
Whit's Frozen Custard — Siesta Key

Status: The family originally targeted a late-July soft opening, with the grand opening date still to be announced.
What to expect: Whit’s makes its frozen custard inside each shop every morning. The Siesta Key restaurant will be the Fineberg family’s first location with the franchise.
Menu highlights: Chocolate and vanilla serve as the everyday base flavors, joined by rotating options. Guests can customize their custard with toppings and mix-ins.

Desi Adda Indian Eatery — Sanford

What to expect: Desi Adda is being designed as a quick-service Indian restaurant inside a recently constructed multi-tenant building near Foxtail Coffee Co. Customers will order at kiosks and can dine at tables inside.
Menu highlights: Specific dishes had not been released in the source material. Gudipati described the concept as affordable, fast-moving Indian food.

Shawarma Burgers — Sanford

St. Lucie County
Field of Greens — Port St. Lucie

Status: The Tradition location was targeting a summer debut, with July mentioned in an announcement and mid-August discussed during the owner interview.
What to expect: The opening marks Field of Greens’ first move outside Palm Beach County. The Tradition cafe will use the brand’s familiar counter-service and order-ahead model.
Menu highlights: Açai bowls, protein shakes, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, salads, wraps and sandwiches are all part of the lineup. Highlighted items include the Matcha Kneaded smoothie, hot chicken pesto sandwich, falafel pita, Power Bagel and chicken Caesar wrap.
Hours: Final hours have not been announced. Most existing Field of Greens cafes operate around 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Oasis Noir Lounge — Fort Pierce

What to expect: Oasis Noir Lounge will combine an upscale full-service restaurant with weekend nightlife in downtown Fort Pierce. The approximately 1,700-square-foot space includes a small front patio.
Menu highlights: Jamaican and broader Caribbean dishes will share the menu with American selections. Jerk chicken, jerk sliders, oxtail pasta, steaks, seafood, salmon and lamb are among the planned offerings.
Hours: Tuesday–Thursday is currently planned for 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m., with Friday and Saturday running 11:30 a.m.–2 a.m. Sunday brunch is under consideration.
Who’s behind it: Lamar Campbell previously operated a restaurant in Jamaica. Oasis Noir Lounge will be his first U.S. restaurant.
Taylor County
Salty Anchor Taphouse — Perry
Address: 127 South Washington Street, Perry, FL 32347
Status: Targeting an early- to mid-September opening.
What to expect: The 3,100-square-foot taphouse will include 21 self-serve tap lines, as many as 18 bartender-operated taps, a stage for entertainment and a game space called The Sandbar. Live music, karaoke, trivia and community fundraisers are all planned.
Menu highlights: Smashburgers, protein bowls, blackened mahi tacos, loaded nachos, pretzels and jalapeño poppers are expected. Drinks will include craft beer, mimosa flights, wine- or beer-based cocktails and a coffee program with coffee flights.
Hours: Lunch and dinner six days a week, plus Saturday brunch. Exact operating hours are still to come.
Who’s behind it: Selina Grant and her wife, Allison Grant, are developing the family-friendly downtown concept.
Volusia County
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Daytona Beach

Status: Targeting a soft opening before the end of 2026.
What to expect: The Daytona Beach shop will be a walk-up location without indoor seating, positioned close to the ocean and the city’s well-known beach gateway. The design and branding will lean into Bad Ass Coffee’s Hawaiian roots.
Menu highlights: Cold drinks will be an important part of the menu, including iced lattes made with frozen coffee cubes instead of water-based ice. The brand also serves blended Coffee Coolers that can be customized with different flavors.

Who’s behind it: Jessie Ponder and her mother, Terri Slager, are opening their first Bad Ass Coffee location. Their agreement covers three stores in Volusia County, and they are also exploring a mobile coffee trailer.
