Coming Soon Downtown Auburndale: Bebos Cajun Kitchen

The Winter Haven-born brand is returning in Downtown Auburndale.

AUBURNDALE, FL – Bebos Cajun Kitchen, a full-service Cajun restaurant from owner Philip Williamson, is planned for 117 E Lake Ave, Ste 101, Auburndale, FL 33823.

This will be a revival of Williamson's former Bebos Cajun Kitchen concepts that he operated in Winter Haven.

What to Expect

The menu will center on Louisiana-style dishes that built Bebos’ name in Winter Haven. Williamson said previous versions of Bebos focused on po’boys and other sandwiches because few local spots specialized in that style of food. The new restaurant will feature Cajun staples like shrimp and grits, jambalaya, and po’boys, he told Business Debut.

Williamson plans Louisiana-themed murals inside, including shrimp boats and other Gulf imagery. He said he aims to source ingredients from local producers when possible, including potential bread and pastry partnerships with nearby bakeries.

The space has a long, narrow, shotgun-style layout with an alley along the left side that will hold outdoor seating, Williamson told Business Debut. He said the building reminded him of New Orleans and helped confirm the decision to bring the Bebos brand back. Inside, plans include a full liquor bar and televisions for sports.

Williamson expects about 85 seats inside and another 25 to 30 seats in the alley, depending on the final layout.

Auburndale has seen a surge in recent business activity, including the Abigail (coming soon), Obscure Wine Company (coming soon), and Haven Roasters.

Opening Timeline

Construction is underway, with framing recently completed. Williamson said the space is still at “concrete and studs” and that many variables remain. He is targeting the first couple of weeks of September for opening but has not set a firm date.
