Coming Soon Sanford: Shawarma Burgers

SANFORD, FL – Shawarma Burgers, a new fast-casual restaurant and cafe from owner Rayed Almontaser, is preparing to open at 160 W Lake Mary Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773, Almontaser told Business Debut in a phone interview.

What to Expect

Almontaser described the concept as a blend of Middle Eastern flavors and American burger culture, built around shawarma served on burger buns and in other formats.

He said the restaurant will also serve shawarma sandwiches, wraps and build-your-own bowls in a format similar to Chipotle. A cafe section will offer crepes, smoothies, protein shakes and strawberry cups.

Opening Timeline

Almontaser said he is working through permitting.

He is targeting an opening in approximately two to three weeks, though he said no official date is set.

Hours

Shawarma Burgers plans to open seven days a week. Almontaser said hours will likely run from about 10:30 or 11 a.m. — 1 a.m. He noted that exact hours may be adjusted closer to opening.
