ROCKLEDGE, FL — Gump's Golden Griddle is preparing to open a breakfast-focused restaurant at 200 Barton Blvd, Rockledge, FL 32955 by August 1, co-owner Makayla Gump told Business Debut in a phone interview.
We've recently reported on a location of Gump's Golden Griddle that plans to open soon in Titusville. Gump said the Rockledge location will share the same menu and concept as the planned Titusville restaurant. She said she and her husband, Kyle, are rebranding after many years with a different breakfast brand.
"We previously owned the C's Waffles in Cocoa on 524 for about six years," Gump told Business Debut. "Now we're rebranding with our own family name."
What to Expect
The dining room will seat close to 80 guests. Gump said the team bringing the concept to Rockledge includes long-term staff from their prior restaurant.
"We have a lot of really good employees," she told Business Debut. "We haven't lost any of our staff from the previous restaurant."
Menu and Vision
The Rockledge menu will feature scratch made breakfast and lunch items.
Expect corned beef hash prepared from brisket cooked in house, eggs Benedict, French toast, steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, chicken tenders.
Looking ahead, Gump said she and her husband hope to add more Gump's Golden Griddle locations.
She said the goal is to give long-serving team members a chance to grow. "The idea with us is going forward to give those employees that have been super dedicated an opportunity to take on a percentage of the business," Gump told Business Debut.
These plans can be seen already in the Titusville location, as co-owner Michael Muccino spent years working with the Gump's and is now a part owner in the upcoming business.
Opening Timeline
Gump said the Rockledge restaurant is waiting on final licensing. "As long as we get our license approved and there's no other questions that they have, we're going to aim for no later than August 1," she told Business Debut.
Hours
Gump's Golden Griddle in Rockledge plans to open seven days a week.
Planned daily hours are 6 a.m. — 2 p.m. She said the team may explore adding dinner hours in the future.
