Saigon District Kitchen and Bar, a new Vietnamese street food restaurant and bar, is set to debut soon in Duluth, owner Khoa Do shared with Business Debut. Located at 4500 Satellite Blvd #1180, Duluth, GA 30096, the concept will replace what is currently a Paris Banh Mi franchise location.

Madre Selva, a new Latin restaurant co-owned by Francisco Puerta and Juan Segura, is set to open soon, bringing Coastal Peruvian flavors to Atlanta.

Located at 575 Morosgo Dr NE #570, Atlanta, GA 30324, Madre Selva will introduce an array of seafood dishes, highlighted by what Puerta described to Business Debut as Atlanta’s first ceviche bar.

Kim’s Bistro & Bar, a new soul food destination by Crystal Pitts, is open in Morrow, GA. With roots in Savannah, where Pitts' family continues to run another soul food restaurant, Kim’s Bistro & Bar introduces the flavors of real soul food to the Morrow area, located at 6335 Jonesboro Rd STE A, Morrow, GA 30260.

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a menu rich in Southern classics like oxtail, collard greens, and chitterlings. Seating 150 guests, the bistro combines traditional soul food with a lively atmosphere, featuring live music and entertainment, along with a full bar.

Smoke Friendly BBQ

Smoke Friendly BBQ, a family-run barbecue restaurant, is opening a new location in McDonough, co-owner Rogey Wilson shared with Business Debut. Located at 59 Macon St, McDonough, GA 30253, the second location builds on the success of their original Covington restaurant, which has been serving the community with southern hospitality and great BBQ for the past four years.

El Metro Venezuelan Fast Food, co-owned by Jesus Echenique, is preparing to open its first location in Newnan at 2235 GA-34 Suite B, Newnan, GA 30265. Designed as a quick-service spot, El Metro will offer authentic Venezuelan dishes alongside American favorites in a fast-casual setting.

Big Doug’s

Big Doug’s is bringing its popular comfort food to Hiram early next year, owner Mark Sullins told Business Debut. This will be Sullins' second location, following the success of the original restaurant in Emerson, which recently underwent renovations.

Located at 3807 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141, the new Big Doug’s location will offer an expanded 9,000-square-foot space with seating for 176 guests.

Iconz Sports Bar & Lounge

Iconz Sports Bar & Lounge is set to open its doors soon, adding a two-story dining and lounge experience to Edgewood Avenue, owner Gilbert Smith, Jr. shared with Business Debut. Nestled near local favorites like Church Bar and Joystick Gamebar, Iconz aims to offer a new neighborhood spot for both dining and socializing.

Located at 447 Edgewood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, the bar and lounge will provide a dining area on the main floor with 12-14 tables serving a classic menu of bar favorites.

Kat’s Diner

Kat’s Diner is set to open by the end of the year in Metter, offering a welcoming, hometown dining experience with a familiar staff and freshly prepared menu options.

Owners Joseph and Alissa Sudowski, with the support of friends and business partners Eli and Payton Holloway, are expanding upon the concept they developed with their Cool Kats Cuisine food truck, which launched in 2023, Joseph Sudowski reported to Business Debut.

Sarah’s on the Course

A new lunchtime country buffet, Sarah’s on the Course, is set to open at Mulliganz Golf Club in Hazlehurst, GA early next year, owner Sarah Boatright told Business Debut.

Located at 270 Uvalda Hwy, Hazlehurst, GA 31539, the restaurant will have 250 seats and is open to the public, welcoming both golf club visitors and community guests. They will be open only for lunch Sunday - Thursday, and open for lunch and dinner on Fridays.

MC’s Bar and Grill, co-owned by Chris Holland and Michael Barnes, is gearing up to open soon in Albany, Holland shared with Business Debut.

The venue will offer family-friendly dining during the day and will transform into a lively music scene in the evenings with events like karaoke Wednesdays, music trivia Thursdays, and live bands on Fridays and Saturdays.

Brew & Hops, a self-pour taproom concept, is set to open in Chamblee in February, pending permits and an alcohol license. Co-owner Chinmaya Desai, who operates the business with his wife, Ritaben, shared with Business Debut that they collaborated with the city to update ordinances allowing self-pour taps, making this a unique addition to Chamblee.

Located at 5251 Peachtree Blvd #103, Brew & Hops will feature 42 taps, focusing on local Georgia breweries alongside select national craft options.

Huey’s on Main Street

Huey’s, the New Orleans eatery on River Street in Savannah, is opening a new location on Main Street in Statesboro, with partners Bob Isaacson and Tom Scarborough leading the charge, Isaacson told Business Debut. Isaacson started Huey's in Atlanta in 1983 before expanding to Savannah. Scarborough has managed Huey's on River Street in Savannah for several decades.

Hoping to open in January, Huey's will debut in the Quality Inn & Suites at 232 S Main St, Statesboro, GA 30458, which is undergoing renovations, Isaacson reported. Huey’s will feature breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night service. Expect full service dining and full bar.

San Angel Latin Bakery

San Angel Latin Bakery, owned by Cesar Barreto, is planning to open in Lawrenceville soon.

Expect to find the coffee shop and bakery at 450 Hurricane Shoals Rd 1, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. The bakery will offer a coffee shop ambiance, featuring a wide selection of pastries, cakes, desserts and smoothies, as well as menu items like salads and omelets.

Tacos-N-Beer

Tacos-N-Beer is preparing to open its second location in Loganville early next year, owner Antonio Barron told Business Debut in late October.

The new location will open at 262 Main St, Loganville, GA 30052, in mid-January 2025. Following the success of its first location in Downtown Monroe, which opened in 2022, the new Loganville spot will feature a two-story setup.

Maracas Bar, a new sports bar owned by Junior Nunez, is planning to open at 4578 Britt Rd Suite 201, Tucker, GA 30084 soon. The bar will offer a more adult-focused atmosphere with seating for 100-125 guests and will serve classic bar food.

Wise Coffee, a new café specializing in coffee, tea, smoothies, and Asian-American inspired breakfast and lunch items, is set to open soon at 1095 Old Peachtree Rd NW, Johns Creek, GA 30024. The café will feature a range of beverages alongside sandwiches, Asian-inspired pastries and other light meals.

Owner Wing Zhang shared that Wise Coffee aims to provide a cozy spot for people to enjoy specialty drinks and breakfast and lunch food in the area.


Rude Boy Deli

Rude Boy Deli, owned by Russell Garrett, is now open at 2111 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. Garrett shared the plans to open with Business Debut in October.

The deli, with a 1950's flair and the Guy Fieri Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives-inspired touches, offers classic deli options like Reubens, Cubans and Italian sandwiches, along with specialties such as birria melts and chicken breast options with hot honey and homemade sauces.

Tommy G's

Tommy G's, a new fast-casual restaurant, is heading to Columbus in a matter of a few weeks, owner Thomas Jones reported to Business Debut.

The address for the upcoming restaurant will be 6835 Midland Commons Blvd b, Columbus, GA 31909. Jones reported that the counter-service restaurant will focus on serving New York-style pizza, and they will also offer items like wings and burgers.

Jones is also the owner of local favorites like Salt Cellar, The Mixed Market, The Loft, and Mabella’s. Keep an eye out for Tommy G's in the next few weeks.


Sea Shells Seafood and Sports

Sea Shells Seafood and Sports, a full-service restaurant and sports bar, will soon open its sixth location at 65 U.S. 341 Bypass, Hawkinsville, GA 31036, franchisee Josline Martin shared with Business Debut.

Friends American Grill

Friends American Grill has opened its ninth location in downtown Commerce. Owner Ray Stanjevich shared the news about the planned opening with Business Debut in October.

Located at 1671 S Elm St, Commerce, GA 30529, the restaurant offers a casual atmosphere and a large U-shaped bar seating 25 guests. The total seating capacity will be 98. Stanjevich reported that the space has undergone a complete renovation.

Galloping Galette

Galloping Galette, known for its popular breakfast and lunch service in Braselton, is opening a new location in Dacula with a focus on dinner.

Third Rail Distillery opened its doors on October 31st at 625 N Clayton St, Lawrenceville, GA, in Downtown Lawrenceville's Depot District. Owned by Cory Acuff, the 10,000-square-foot distillery features rooftop seating, an outdoor patio, an indoor tasting room, and a downstairs banquet and event space, with a total capacity of almost 400 people.

Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea

Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea is set to open a new location at 1155 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW #108, Kennesaw, GA 30144, brand owner Steven Chan reported to Business Debut.

Tin Drum, which has numerous locations throughout Georgia already, is planning to debut in February, Chan said. The original estimation was December, but construction delays have pushed the date back.

Confab Kitchen and Bar, a modern American bistro, is underway with construction, owner Doug Gross reported to Business Debut in an interview in October. The restaurant, located in a new mixed-use development at 1350 Dresden Dr #1015, Atlanta, GA 30319.

Inspired by European dining culture, the menu at Confab Kitchen and Bar will focus on shareable plates, encouraging a social and communal dining experience. The restaurant will offer a blend of classic European and modern American dishes, creating a casual yet upscale neighborhood gathering spot, Gross reported.

Woody’s Cheesesteaks, owned by Steven Renner, is aiming to open its newest location in the historic Marietta Square at 115 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060 by the end of the year. Renner reported to Business Debut that they are amidst in October.

The brand, which has been serving the Atlanta area since 1975, will bring its signature menu to Marietta, featuring a proprietary blend of shaved steak cuts, sweet peppers, onions and white American cheese, all served on a warm baguette.

Arepa Grill

Arepa Grill is set to open its first full-service restaurant at 45 Oak St, Roswell, GA 30075, owner Pedro Cardenas told Business Debut this October.

Arepa Grill, known for its Venezuelan cuisine served at its Chamblee and Doraville locations, will add Spanish dishes to the Roswell menu. Expect dishes like paella, octopus and other Spanish favorites. This location, Cardenas reported, will be full-service, a deviation from their other quick-service units.

C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar is relocating from its current Vinings location at 3300 Cobb Pkwy SE to Galleria on the Park at 600 Galleria Pkwy SE, Atlanta, GA 30339. Co-owner Rich Clark shared in October that the move is happening due to the planned demolition of their current building.

C&S has partnered with Piedmont Office Realty Trust to bring their popular seafood restaurant to the new, 5,000-square-foot space, which will feature an open kitchen, art deco design, a wine room, private dining, a bar, and an enclosed, climate-controlled outdoor patio.

Lily Sushi Bar is now open in Milton at 1865 Heritage Walk, Milton, GA 30004. Owner Lily Susana shared the plans for the new location with Business Debut back in October.

Suite 200 Grille, an upscale sports bar owned by Anthony Battaglia, opened in March of this year with the goal of offering sports lovers a more elevated dining and sports viewing experience in Milton. Battaglia shared with Business Debut that he wanted to create a space that feels like the "box seats" at the game, offering an upscale experience compared to a typical sports bar.

Wa’haka, a street-style Mexican restaurant owned by Cesar Hernandez, is planning to open at 4474 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30338 in the summer of 2025. It will be taking the place of the now-closed Takorea.

Hernandez, who also owns Oaxana Tacos and Tequila in Chamblee and Lawrenceville, recently signed the lease for the new location and is currently remodeling the space, including restructuring the bar and bathrooms, he reported to Business Debut.

Cargo, an innovative 11.6-acre food space featuring restaurants, food trucks and commissary kitchens, is set to open at 8151 Fortson Road, Columbus, GA by early 2026. Melinda Newton, who has been working on the project for 2.5 years, is the owner and shared details with Business Debut.

E-Gyu Revolving Sushi & BBQ, owned by Young Gyu Lee, is set to open its second location at 635 Jesse Jewell Pkwy, Gainesville, GA 30501, by the end of the year or early 2025. The new restaurant will feature 125 seats and a full bar, offering a dining experience that combines revolving sushi with Korean BBQ.

Delilah’s Everyday Soul

Delilah’s Everyday Soul, known for its home-cooked southern cuisine, is expanding with a new location in downtown Atlanta early next year. The restaurant, owned by Delana Reeves, will be located in a historic space at 227 Mitchell St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.

“Our food is home cooking, just not at home,” Reeves told Business Debut in October. The menu at Delilah’s Everyday Soul offers nostalgic dishes meant to evoke memories of mothers' cooking.

Dill Dinkers

Dill Dinkers, a rapidly expanding pickleball brand, is set to open its first Atlanta location at 1200 White St SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 by the first quarter of next year. Business Debut spoke with regional developer Daniel Hardeman, who, along with his wife Laura, is leading the development. Other partners in the venture include Stuart Napshin, Evelyn Orenbuch and Destin Dunham.

Moreau's Famous Macaroni

Moreau’s Famous Macaroni is set to open its fourth location at 3861 Washington Rd, Atlanta, GA 30344 in the first quarter of 2025, according to owner Scott Moreau in late September. Currently in the construction phase, this new spot will bring the same menu that has made Moreau’s popular in Jonesboro, McDonough and Covington, Moreau said.

In addition to the Atlanta expansion, Moreau’s is planning to open its first out-of-state location in Brooklyn, New York, by the third quarter of 2025. The business is also offering franchising opportunities for South Florida, Moreau said.

Eggs Up Grill

Eggs Up Grill is expanding in the greater Augusta area with four new locations, franchisee Clarissa Knotts told Business Debut. The South Carolina-based brand is known for serving delicious breakfast comfort foods like hash brown bowls, egg platters, pancakes and more.

The first location is set to open at 1200 Town Park Ln, Evans, GA 30809. Knotts shared that her fiancé, Kevin Patrick, will serve as the general manager and will oversee operations for the restaurants.

Additional sites are planned for Aiken, SC, North Augusta, SC, and Augusta, GA.

DosBros

A new location of DosBros, a growing build-your-own-burrito chain, is opening in Warner Robins, franchisee Sunny Patel shared with Business Debut. The new restaurant, Patel said, is under development at 1012 SR 96, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

This is part of a development housing several other restaurants along Highway 96.

Florida-based brand Agave Bandido made their debut on High Street in Dunwoody, close to Perimeter Mall, in October. President of Wolverine Management Matthew Baum reported the news if the new location to Business Debut in September.

Baum shared that while this location is its largest and most extravagant yet, they are sticking to the food program that has made them popular in Florida: scratch-made dishes, fresh fried tortilla chips and freshly squeezed juice-made cocktails. This location will also feature their signature speak-tiki: a hidden tiki-themed speakeasy bar called Maya.

A new Publix Shopping Center in Villa Rica will include San Andrés Mexican Restaurant, ownership shared with Business Debut.

Towne Center Tavern, owned by Shawn and Katy Ledford, is gearing up for a late December or early January opening at 7025 Evans Town Center Blvd, Evans, GA 30809, located in The Meybohm Building at the Plaza. Ledford reported to Business Debut in September that the restaurant will provide a casual family dining atmosphere, with seating for 60 guests inside and an additional 25 seats on the patio.

Tenmii Japanese, owned by Kusmayadi “Han” Djunaidi and Vita Tjhin, is planning to open its second location in a new shopping center being constructed in Warner Robbins, Han reported to Business Debut.

Tenmii is planning to open by January 2024 if construction continues as planned. This will be a continuation of the successful Macon location, which debuted in January 2023, Han said. Expect the same menu of fast casual Japanese fare, imported saki and beer. The new location will have seating for 40.

Ed's Truckstop

Ed's Truckstop, a staple of Poulan, Georgia since 1964, is preparing to re-open by the end of the year, owner Gail Lee told Business Debut. The longstanding business shut down in early 2024 after a fire broke out and consumed the building at 209 US-82, Poulan, GA 31781.

With construction underway, Lee revealed that they have been expanding their dining rooms to accommodate between 250-300 guests, when before their seating was limited to 200. Expect full-service dining, just like before. The renovated space will include a larger kitchen and larger bathrooms.

Roswell residents have something to look forward to as Grana, the popular Italian restaurant, is set to open its third location in greater-Atlanta. Grana is owned by Pat Pascarella of the Porchetta Group, the mastermind behind Grana in Dunwoody and Atlanta, and The White Bull, Alici, and Bastone.

The new Grana, located at 1037 Alpharetta St, Roswell, GA 30075, will boast an impressive 270 seats. Grana is opening in the new Southern Post mixed-use development. It is joining BEY Mediterranean in the development.

CT Taqueria, a family-owned restaurant, is preparing to open its 6th location at the Campus 244 development, located at 244 Campus Wy Suite 1, Dunwoody, GA 30346. Business Debut found the information first in Discover Dunwoody.

Co-owner Ricardo Jaime, who shared the details with Business Debut, revealed that the new location will bring elements of their more upscale Buckhead brand, CT Reforma, to the taqueria, including chef-driven specialty plates. Jaime also shared that CT Taqueria will offer weekend brunch.

NFA Burger

NFA Burger, the lauded burger restaurant based out of a gas station on Chamblee Dunwoody Road, is expanding into four new locations across Atlanta. Business Debut first came across the news in Rough Draft Atlanta.

Owner Billy Kramer shared with Business Debut that NFA Burger recently hired Brett Crowder as COO. Crowder will play a key role in selecting the sites, Kramer said.

While locations are not available yet, Kramer wants the first to be within 20 minutes of the Dunwoody outpost.

Wingz University

Wingz University, known for its flavorful wings and loaded waffle fries, opened on September 16th opening at 2115 E Gwinnett St, Savannah, GA. Eli Porter, the owner, reported to Business Debut that the restaurant will offer its signature wings, waffle fries, loaded Philly cheesesteak fries and Philly cheesesteaks.

In addition to the Savannah opening, Porter shared that Wingz University will soon be reopening its location at 323 W Main St, Statesboro, GA 30458, and a food truck is set to hit the streets by the end of the year.

Super Chix

Super Chix, a fast-casual chicken restaurant chain, is set to expand its presence in Georgia with multiple new locations, co-franchisee Keith Estapa reported to Business Debut earlier in September.

The first of these new outlets opened on September 19th in East Cobb at 4475 Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA 30062.

Following the East Cobb opening, Estapa plans to continue the expansion with a Gainesville location. Further growth is on the horizon with a Newnan restaurant slated for February next year.

Desi District

Desi District, a Dallas-based fast-casual Indian restaurant chain, is set to open its first Georgia locations in Cumming and Dunwoody, franchisee Praneeth Koppula reported to Business Debut in September.

The Cumming location will be at 4350 Bethelview Rd, Cumming, GA 30040, in a new development. This restaurant will feature 76 seats and additional outdoor seating.

Following the Cumming opening, Desi District plans to launch its Dunwoody location in January at 4784 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338, in the former Chili's space.

Edmund Nelson is preparing to open Shells and Scales Seafood, a family-style fast-casual restaurant in downtown Statham, Nelson reported to Business Debut in September. While an exact timeline for the opening is not yet available, the project is described as a work in progress.

The seafood concept is planning to open in the same building as Shaved Ice Shack at 1907 Atlanta Hwy SE, Statham, GA 30666, Nelson said.

Brazilian BBQ Grill, a new food truck venture by husband-and-wife team Claudinne and Diego Tillmann, is open with authentic Brazilian flavors in Marietta, the owners reported to Business Debut.

Restaurateurs Gianni Betti and Randy McCray are set to open a new Italian eatery, Gianni & Mac's, at 85 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060, the AJC reported. The restaurant is slated to open toward the end of the year, Betti told Business Debut in a phone interview in August.

Gianni & Mac's will offer seating for over 100 guests, including private dining areas and outdoor seating. Betti, an Italian native, aims to bring authentic flavors from his homeland to Marietta, including pizza and dishes similar to those served at his Sandy Springs restaurant, Cibo e Beve, he said.

Solo Caribbean plans to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, operating from 7 am - 11 pm or midnight. In addition to its Caribbean menu, Solo Caribbean will offer hookah services and host karaoke events, Josue said.

The Drafty Dane Park & Pint

The Drafty Dane Park & Pint, a dog park and bar concept, is now open near the Marietta Square, the brand's social media indicates. Co-owner Emily Matthews told Business Debut about the project back in August. The establishment, located at 942 Roswell St NE, Marietta, GA 30060, is owned by two couples: Emily and Brennan Matthews, and Fitz Johnson and Suzann Wilcox.

Inspired by their two Great Danes and visits to numerous dog parks, Williams said that they secured the land in 2021. The park features a 19,000-square-foot off-leash area with a water fixture for dogs to enjoy.

A new dining concept, Hobos 825, is open at 1840 Osborne Rd, St Marys, GA 31558, owner Robin Watson told Business Debut. The restaurant's name coincides with Watson's father's birthday, August 28th.

Hobos 825 will specialize in foil pack meals. The menu includes dishes like the "Giddy-up cowboy" with beef patties tossed in BBQ sauce, peppers and onions, mushed red potatoes and green beans; or the "chicken fresco" with chicken, red tomatoes, green beans and pasta topped with feta cheese.


Crooked Can Brewing

Crooked Can Brewing is set to expand to Snellville, Georgia, with a new location at 2245 Wisteria Dr SW, Snellville, GA 30078 in the Grove at Town Center development, partner Alan Delahunt told Business Debut in August.

SmokeShow Southern Style BBQ is set to open a permanent location at 4275 Washington Rd, Evans, GA 30809, co-owner Will Dunaway told Business Debut in August. The popular food trucks, which have been serving Augusta since 2016, are making the leap to a full-scale restaurant.

The team plans to begin demolition at the new site in September, with an estimated nine-month construction period to follow, Dunaway said. They're aiming to open before the next football season, creating a space that will seat approximately 100 diners and offer a bar.

The group is actively seeking real estate across metro Atlanta for the additional 17 planned locations. They're looking for free-standing or end-cap units with capacity for a drive-thru. "The drive-thru is going to be key for us," Panjwani said.

Ruby's Prime & Two Eggs

McDonough is preparing to welcome Ruby's Prime, a new upscale, city-style restaurant, owner Richard Penny told Business Debut in July 2024. The establishment is slated to open at 30 Macon St, McDonough, GA 30253.

Ruby's Prime will accommodate approximately 95 diners, featuring a mix of booths and tables. A highlight of the space is a private dining room located upstairs, offering an overlooking view of the main dining area below. Shying away from calling Ruby's Prime fine dining, Penny intends for the concept to be considered upscale, a less stuffy label, he said.


Two Eggs

In a separate move, Richard Penny is relocating his popular breakfast and lunch concept, Two Eggs. The restaurant will move from 557 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, GA 30253 to a new, larger space in a Publix-anchored shopping center at 2434 Jonesboro Rd, Hampton, GA 30228. The new location will offer an additional 2,000 square feet and feature outdoor dining options.
