Ed's Truckstop Reopening After Fire in Poulan, Georgia
After a fire in early 2024, owner Gail Lee is preparing to reopen Ed's Truckstop in Poulan with expanded seating by the end of the year.
Ed's Truckstop, a staple of Poulan, Georgia since 1964, is preparing to re-open by the end of the year, owner Gail Lee told Business Debut. The longstanding business shut down in early 2024 after a fire broke out and consumed the building at 209 US-82, Poulan, GA 31781.
With construction underway, Lee revealed that they have been expanding their dining rooms to accommodate between 250-300 guests, when before their seating was limited to 200. Expect full-service dining, just like before. The renovated space will include a larger kitchen and larger bathrooms.
The menu, which Lee described as classic country cooking, features dishes like hamburger steak, pork chops and many others.
Watch out for more updates on the Ed's Truckstop Facebook page, and expect to see the longstanding business re-open by late December.
Business Debut initially came across the news from WALB News.
