Stella's Place Bringing 50's-Themed Diner to Bowdon
New nostalgic ice cream parlor and diner to offer classic American fare and hand-dipped ice cream treats.
A new 50's-themed diner and ice cream parlor, Stella's Place, is projected to open its doors at 135 W College St, Bowdon, GA, 30108 before September 1st, owner Amy Lackey told Business Debut. Lackey aims to bring a nostalgic feel to the local dining scene.
The menu will feature classic American fare including hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, PB&J's and more. Lackey also plans to offer gluten-free options based on customer demand.
Stella's Place will serve traditional ice cream floats, hand-dipped ice cream, shakes and malts. The diner will have seating for around 40 guests and will also offer takeout services.
Operating hours will vary throughout the week. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, the diner will be open from 11 am - 8 pm. Friday and Saturday hours extend from 11 am - 9 pm, while Sunday hours are 12 pm - 6 pm. Stella's Place will be closed on Tuesdays.
Lackey shared her inspiration for the concept, saying, "I've had a dream since I was a little girl for an ice cream parlor, and I love the 50's and the nostalgic feel."
