The Drafty Dane Park & Pint Opening Soon in Marietta
Marietta's first dog park and bar to open in September, featuring 19,000 sq. ft. of off-leash area and a diverse drink menu.
The Drafty Dane Park & Pint, a dog park and bar concept, is set to open in September near the Marietta Square, co-owner Emily Matthews told Business Debut. The establishment, located at 942 Roswell St NE, Marietta, GA 30060, is owned by two couples: Emily and Brennan Matthews, and Fitz Johnson and Suzann Wilcox.
Inspired by their two Great Danes and visits to numerous dog parks, Williams said that they secured the land in 2021. The park will feature a 19,000-square-foot off-leash area with a water fixture for dogs to enjoy.
The Drafty Dane will offer two bar areas: an upstairs indoor bar with an outdoor patio where leashed dogs are welcome, and a walk-up bar in the off-leash area. Patrons can enjoy wine, seltzers, cocktails, and draft and canned beer. While the establishment won't have a kitchen, it will offer snacks and host food trucks.
To ensure safety and proper behavior, the park will require memberships or day passes for dogs. Requirements include up-to-date vaccinations, spaying/neutering and a minimum age of 4 months. Various membership options will be available, including day passes, monthly and annual memberships, as well as potential multi-day pass bundles.
For convenience, The Drafty Dane will offer an app where patrons can input their dog's information, purchase packages and streamline their visit.
Williams shared that they are at the tail end of construction and plan to open in September. Visit the brand online and on Instagram.
