New in Buckhead: Buckhead Brewing Nears Soft Opening Date

The brewpub will feature a sandwich shop during the week for quick lunches.

ATLANTA, GA – Buckhead Brewing, a neighborhood brewpub and sandwich shop, is preparing to open at 128 E Andrews Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, president Reid Olsen told Business Debut in a recent phone interview. The initial reporting for this project was done by Tomorrow's News Today Atlanta.

Olsen described Buckhead Brewing as a pregame and postgame gathering place for the Buckhead neighborhood, with a focus on teams, families and friends. The concept centers on food, house beer, classic cocktails and a wine program in an expansive, family friendly space.

What to Expect

The interior is a large, open room with warm, dark finishes and two indoor bars, Olsen said.

The property seats about 230 guests across indoor and outdoor areas. A front patio offers casual seating with couches, picnic tables and shade. Three roll-up garage doors connect the interior bar to the patio, and staff will serve guests directly at the patio walk-up bar.

A rear room will be a game room for children, with arcade machines and other games, called Raccoon Room, Olsen shared.

During weekdays, Buckhead Brewing will operate a sandwich shop for nearby workers and residents. Expect gourmet sandwiches and salads.

After 4 p.m., the operation shifts to full-service dining with hosts, servers and bartenders and a broader dinner menu. Olsen said the beer program will feature eight house beers brewed at a partner facility in Greenville, South Carolina, through brewmaster Kenny Driggers.

Styles will include a light lager, hazy IPA, Belgian wheat, coconut porter, sour and pilsner, Olsen shared. Cocktails and wine will also be on the beverage list.

Buckhead Brewing draws on Olsen’s background with Queen Park Social in Charlotte and Southernside Brewing Co. in Greenville, SC. Co-owner Sarah Olsen led the design of the space, while chief operating officer Tim Campau and brewmaster Driggers both worked with Olsen at Southernside Brewing.

Opening Timeline

The team is hiring staff and setting up interviews through the Buckhead Brewing website.

Olsen said the soft opening is targeting late September, with a possible shift into early October based on licensing and staffing.

Hours

Buckhead Brewing & Lodge plans to open seven days a week.

The Buckhead Brewing sandwich shop will operate Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. — 3 p.m. Dinner service will run Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. — 11 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, the dinner menu will be available all day.
