New in Buckhead: Illusion Sports Bar and Grill Coming Soon

ATLANTA, GA – Illusion Sports Bar and Grill is preparing to open a Buckhead location at the former Annie's Thai Castle space at 3195 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, co-owner Nahom Mekonnen told Business Debut in a phone interview.

Mekonnen said he and partners Amanuel Kassaye and Yonathan Kassaye are targeting about 90 days from late August for opening.

The site sits across Roswell Road from Lost Dog Tavern, Dive Bar Buckhead, and Red Door Tavern.

What to Expect

The Buckhead Illusion will follow the partners' existing Illusion Sports Bar and Grill in Lawrenceville, which has been under their ownership for about two years.

"It's a sports bar concept. We show games. Soccer, football, basketball, you name it," Mekonnen said.

Menu and Vision

Illusion will serve wings, tacos, and loaded nachos.

"We are known for our tacos," Mekonnen told Business Debut, calling them the most popular item at the Lawrenceville bar.

The owners plan to carry over the Lawrenceville playbook to Buckhead with only minor adjustments. "It's going to be exactly the same thing," Mekonnen shared with Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

Mekonnen said the team is working toward an opening about three months from the August 28 interview.

Hours

Mekonnen said Illusion Sports Bar and Grill in Buckhead plans to open from 11 a.m. — 2:30 a.m. seven days a week.
