Coming Soon: Kupcakerie Opening Two New Locations Around Atlanta

SMYRNA, GA — Kupcakerie plans to open a new bakery café at 2517 Spring Road Suite 102, Smyrna, GA 30080 by the end of August, co-owner Henry Adeleye told Business Debut in a recent interview.

Adeleye and his wife, Kascha, launched Kupcakerie in 2014 after she began baking cupcakes for students, family and friends in Athens while they attended the University of Georgia. The couple started by baking in their apartment and delivering around the Atlanta area, then opened their first brick-and-mortar shop in East Point in 2016, Adeleye said.

Kupcakerie added a second location in Grant Park in 2023 and is now moving that shop to a new site at 571 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, in addition to opening their Smyrna location.

What to Expect

Kupcakerie focuses on cupcakes, specialty cakes and a full coffee program. “We do a lot of catering, so specialty cakes and cupcakes, weddings, birthday parties,” Adeleye said in the interview.

Each location serves a breakfast lineup that includes biscuits, breakfast sandwiches and croissants, paired with a full-service coffee menu. He said the menus at all three locations will expand with breakfast burritos.

Opening Timeline

The Smyrna location at 2517 Spring Road Suite 102 is targeting an opening by the end of August, according to Adeleye.

The relocated Grant Park shop at 571 Memorial Dr SE, in the former Mi Barrio space, is targeting an opening in about two months.
