Alamance County

Fatbackzz Grill

GRAHAM, NC — Fatbackzz Grill is planning to open its first brick-and-mortar location at 101 E Parker St, Graham, NC 27253. Owner Kristopher Messer told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting the first week of June. Fatbackzz Grill will operate inside Sam’s Mini Mart, Messer told Business Debut. The location will give customers a consistent place to order from the business while the Fatbackzz food truck continues operating.

Halftime Hangout Sports Bar

RAEFORD, NC — Halftime Hangout Sports Bar is preparing to open at 2080 Club Pond Rd, Raeford, NC 28376, co-owner Brigida Amos told Business Debut. The restaurant is planning a family-and-friends event on the 15th, with an official opening date to be announced.

Kitchen Social

CHARLOTTE, NC Kitchen Social is planning to open at 282 S Sharon Amity Rd, Suite 104 and 106B, Charlotte, NC 28211 in Cotswold Village. Founder Brian O'Malley told Business Debut the team is targeting a mid-January 2027 opening. The Charlotte restaurant will be similar to Kitchen Social’s Sarasota location, with indoor-outdoor dining, a covered patio and an indoor-outdoor bar, O'Malley told Business Debut.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Sonrisa, a Latin American restaurant and bar, is now open at 137 Brevard Court, Charlotte, NC 28202, partner in operations Brian Woulfe told Business Debut. Their menu draws from Latin American, Caribbean, South American and Central American cuisines, Woulfe told Business Debut.

RALEIGH, NC — A new concept is in the works from the co-founder of Happy and Hale. Churp, a bowl concept focused on simplicity, affordability, and clean eating is being developed by Tyler Helikson, the CEO and co-founder of Happy and Hale. FUQUAY-VARINA, NC — Early Bird Cafe is planning to open at 736 N Main St Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526, bringing a quick-service breakfast option to town. Owner Tracy Gower told Business Debut the cafe is designed for guests looking for a locally owned grab-and-go breakfast option.

Mikey's Pizzeria

RALEIGH, NC — Mikey's Pizzeria is targeting an opening in about two months at 2320 Bale St #114, Raleigh, NC 27608, owner Michael Longo told Business Debut. The restaurant is taking over the former Pizza and Pints location. Longo, who is also opening Vic's Pizzeria in Wendall, is branching out from the Vic's Pizzeria brand with this opening.

RALEIGH, NC — Topsail Steamer, a take-home seafood boil concept featured on Shark Tank, is coming to 8111 Creedmoor Rd Suite 29, Raleigh, NC 27613. Franchisee sisters Renee Moore and Paige Rogalski are working through permitting and construction plans for the Raleigh location, Moore told Business Debut.
