RALEIGH, NC – A new concept is in the works from the co-founder of Happy and Hale. Churp, a new brand focused on simplicity, affordability, and clean eating is being developed by Tyler Helikson, the CEO and co-founder of Happy and Hale.

Find the new concept at 3121 Edwards Mill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612.

What to Expect

Churp will serve as a sister concept to Helikson's existing brand and will maintain a focus on clean eating. The difference, Helikson said, is to create a more streamlined menu and operation. "With Chirp, the goal has always been to simplify the concept. Do less, but do less better,” Helikson told Business Debut.

Guests will have a straightforward menu of healthy bowls with rice, chicken, fresh vegetables, flavorful sauces, no seed oils, no ultra-processed food, and a kids menu.

Churp will also partner with “local, and or national, influencers, tastemakers, celebrities,” for special bowls, similar to how Happy and Hale previously partnered with Carolina Hurricanes player Brent Burns for a steak bowl.

Branding

The brand positioning of Churp is irreverent, bright, and playful, which is evident from their initial Instagram posts. Helikson, a former college athlete, also shared that he aims to partner with local sports teams, run clubs, and health-oriented organizations.

“We wanted to be a place where you really could hit that sweet spot of delicious and nutritious, so you feel great after you eat it," he said.

Growth

Helikson shared that their streamlined model with Churp lends itself to potential franchising in the future.

Opening Timeline

Helikson shared that they are preparing to begin construction with an initial hope of opening in late summer or early fall.
