La Victoria Raleigh Bringing Elevated Mexican Dining to Raleigh
The opening marks the 13th restaurant for Jalmex Hospitality.
RALEIGH, NC — La Victoria Raleigh is targeting an opening in the first week of November at 2519 Fairview Road, Raleigh, NC 27608, in the former Mandolin space.
The restaurant is part of Jalmex Hospitality, owned by Salvador Alvarez and Juan Sanchez. Additional partners in La Victoria's Raleigh location are Maira Ibarra, Gabriel Alvarez and Antonio Ibarra.
The opening will be the hospitality group’s 13th restaurant.
What to Expect
La Victoria will be a full-service Mexican restaurant with a family-focused atmosphere, Alvarez told Business Debut. The restaurant will offer about 120 seats, a full bar and party seating inside a roughly 4,400-square-foot space.
Alvarez said the design will be similar to the Cary location, with a Tulum-inspired look using natural materials, wood, concrete and plants.
Alvarez said the group chose the Five Points area because of its proximity to downtown Raleigh, surrounding homes and walkable neighborhood setting.
Menu and Vision
The menu will focus on an elevated Mexican dining experience, with a mix of authentic Mexican dishes and familiar Tex-Mex offerings. Alvarez said the restaurant uses higher-quality ingredients, including outside skirt steak for its fajitas and grilled marinated chicken, along with fresh-squeezed juices for margaritas instead of mixes.

The restaurant is designed to be family-friendly, with a warm atmosphere suited for lunch, dinner and group dining. Alvarez said La Victoria will also offer lunch specials with smaller portions and lower prices, along with catering for nearby offices and businesses.
La Victoria’s first location opened in December 2022 at 2025 Renaissance Park Place in Cary. Alvarez said the Raleigh restaurant is expected to keep the same menu and overall approach.
Jalmex Hospitality also operates Chido Taco, a counter-service taqueria with three locations in Raleigh and Cary; La Buena Vida, a full-service Mexican restaurant with locations in Raleigh, Cary and Durham; and Fonda Lupita, which started in Sanford before expanding to Durham, Alvarez told Business Debut.
