FAYETTEVILLE, NC -- Spinner's Pizza is preparing to reopen at 2805 Raeford Road Fayetteville, NC 28303 in the same building where it operated for years. The new owner Heather Jadwick was a former longtime employee of the pizza place.

Greater Fayetteville Business Journal first reported the news last week.

What to Expect

Jadwick plans to bring back the look and feel of the original Spinner's while making select updates to the dining room.

"I want to bring back the original Spinner's as much as I possibly can," Jadwick told Business Debut. She said guests can expect a familiar layout with a pizza buffet and salad bar.

Former owners, Spero and Helen Poulos, will work alongside Jadwick in the restaurant during the opening phase. A longtime colleague who previously worked at Spinner's for seven years also plans to help on opening day, according to Jadwick.

Spinner's will feature pizzas that regulars remember from the original menu. "I'm going to have the same pizzas that we had on the menu," Jadwick told Business Debut.

She said the core offerings will center on pizza, wings, a salad bar and the pizza buffet.

Jadwick plans to expand wing options at launch. "We had really good wings, but we only carried like four or five flavors before, so I'm going to add more," she shared with Business Debut.

Additional menu items, such as other entrees, may roll out later after she sees how the kitchen functions and what space and equipment allow, she said.

Ownership Background

Jadwick worked for the Spinner's founding family for about 14 and a half years, including 12 years at Spinner's Pizza. She started there as an employee, then managed the restaurant for about a decade. "I absolutely enjoyed it," Jadwick said, recalling how she knew regulars' usual orders, drinks and favorite tables.

Originally from New York, Jadwick said she was struck by how strongly Fayetteville residents supported the restaurant. "I don't think I've ever ran into a restaurant that people just simply love," she told Business Debut.

After Spinner's closed and the business sold in October 2017, she moved to Jacksonville, North Carolina, but stayed in contact with former customers and with Spero and Helen, whom she described as like another set of parents.

Jadwick created the original Spinner's Facebook page around 2010. When the restaurant sold, she renamed the page and used it as a way to stay connected with local pizza fans. When she decided to reopen Spinner's, she switched the page name back, which quickly drew attention from former customers.

Opening Timeline

Jadwick said major kitchen equipment deliveries are scheduled and she is compiling specification sheets for the health department. Once all required pieces are installed, she plans to submit her application and await inspections. "Our goal is in the next few months," she told Business Debut, noting that the final timeline depends on regulatory review.
