4 New & Coming Soon Palm Beach County Restaurants

Palm Beach County has four notable food and beverage openings in the works, including a family-focused restaurant destination, an expanded bagel and brunch concept, a growing rotisserie chicken brand and an Italian gelato shop, which just opened for business.

La Coppetta Matta — Wellington

Address: 10660 Forest Hill Blvd, Suite 150, Wellington, FL 33414

Status: Now open. La Coppetta Matta officially opened Sunday, September 6, 2026, at noon.

What to expect: La Coppetta Matta is an Italian-focused gelato and frozen dessert shop using ingredients sourced from Italy. The concept is rooted in a family cafe tradition that dates back decades in New York City.

Menu highlights: More than 24 gelato flavors are planned, combining classic Italian varieties with rotating weekly choices and kid-friendly flavors such as cotton candy and bubble gum. Italian ices, gelato pops, milkshakes made with gelato and granita-style drinks are also available.

Drink program: Cold beverages are the focus, including affogato and a cappuccino granita finished with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Hours: The shop opened at noon on September 6. Ongoing weekday hours were previously planned for noon–10 p.m., with weekend hours expected to vary based on demand.

Who’s behind it: Sisters Laura and Patricia Generoso grew up working in their family’s Italian-style cafes in New York. They hope La Coppetta Matta could eventually grow into a franchise with additional Florida locations.

Fabricant Farms Cafe — Jupiter

Address: 16891 Jupiter Farms Rd, Jupiter, FL 33478

Status: Targeting an opening by the end of 2026.

What to expect: Fabricant Farms Cafe will serve as the first phase of a larger 1.8-acre destination replacing the former Taylor Farmhouse Cafe property. Owner Tyler Fabricant plans a full-service restaurant, live music stage and food truck, with later phases adding a coffee shop, market, ice cream shop and potentially an arcade.

Menu highlights: The restaurant will focus on approachable, home-style food such as burgers, mac and cheese, steaks, fish dishes, flatbreads and tacos. Former Taylor Farmhouse Cafe owner Chris Taylor will help bring back some of his previous recipes while assisting with kitchen training.

Entertainment: Fabricant plans regular live music and a large outdoor area designed for families to gather. The food truck will operate near the stage and provide extra kitchen capacity during busy events.

Hours: Dinner service is expected to begin Wednesday through Sunday, with Tuesday potentially added later. Sunday brunch is also planned early in the rollout, followed eventually by lunch and breakfast.

Who’s behind it: Tyler Fabricant is redeveloping the property under the Fabricant Farms name after spending about two years working through county permitting.

2nd Street Bagels Bites and Brews — Boca Raton

Address: 5800 N Federal Hwy, #1, Boca Raton, FL 33487

Status: Planning to open soon (exact date not available).

What to expect: The second location of 2nd Street will be significantly larger than the original Boca Raton shop and is being designed as more of a community gathering place. Plans include space for events and programming while keeping the brand’s existing bagel and deli foundation.

Menu highlights: Fresh bagels and breakfast sandwiches will remain central, including pork roll, egg and cheese, corned beef hash and egg sandwiches and classic bacon, egg and cheese. The expanded location will also lean further into brunch and desserts, with items such as peanut butter and jelly challah French toast and Bananas Foster pancakes.

Drink program: Ownership is applying for a beer and wine license. If approved, the brunch program is expected to include mimosas and bellinis, with beer and wine offered during the week as well.

Who’s behind it: Twin sisters Cara and Christie Harpest operate the business with Brandon Dreichler. The trio also runs the original 2nd Street Bagels and Deli in Boca Raton.

C.R. Chicks — Boynton Beach

Address: 6649 Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33437

Status: Targeting a fourth-quarter opening. A second new restaurant in Stuart is expected to follow about eight weeks later.

What to expect: C.R. Chicks is expanding its longtime South Florida rotisserie chicken concept with a refreshed restaurant design and updated back-of-house setup. The Boynton Beach location was about 60 percent through construction at the time of the report.

Menu highlights: Whole, half and quarter rotisserie chickens will remain the centerpiece, joined by sandwiches, pastas, sides and family-style meals. Ownership also plans to introduce more limited-time offerings as the brand experiments with new dishes.

Brand background: C.R. Chicks was founded in 1992 and already operates seven locations across Palm Beach County. The company is updating the look and workflow of the new stores while retaining the familiar identity of the brand.

Who’s behind it: Ownership has transitioned to an investment group that includes Jon Luther, Dan Bowers, Jonathan Luther, Thompson Blake and Cole Sones.
