Donatos Pizza
PANAMA CITY, FL — George Schempf is opening Donatos Pizza at 840 W 23rd St, Panama City, FL 32405 with his wife and co-owner, Chris Doss. Schempf told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting an opening around August 1st. There are about 460 locations across the country, and the Panama City restaurant will be among the brand’s first locations in Florida.

Pha'Ya Thai & Sushi Restaurant
PALM BAY, FL — Pha'Ya Thai & Sushi Restaurant is targeting a mid- to late July opening at 130 St. Johns Heritage Parkway NW, Suite 106, Palm Bay, FL 32907, where owners Sam Dyer, Davut Munkong, Nuy Dyer and Keaw Munkong are preparing to bring a full-service Thai and sushi restaurant to a fast-growing area of the city.

Jerry’s Jerk
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Jerry’s Jerk is targeting a June 10 opening at 4261 NW 12th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33313, owner Jerome Lounds told Business Debut. Lounds said the opening date is still dependent on permitting, but the restaurant is aiming to bring its Jamaican and Caribbean menu to the neighborhood this summer.

Big Bone BBQ
PENSACOLA, FL — Donna Deverman-Clay and her husband, Samuel Clay, are preparing to open Big Bone BBQ at 608 E Wright St, Pensacola, FL 32501, targeting a June 6 opening. Deverman-Clay told Business Debut the concept will bring Texas-style barbecue to the area, centered on beef ribs and housemade offerings not widely available locally.

Renzo’s
TAMPA, FL — Renzo Menzerotolo told Business Debut that Renzo’s is planning a soft opening in early to mid-May at 122 S Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33606, where he operates the family business alongside his father, Jose Menzerotolo, and brother, Claudio Menzerotolo. The new restaurant is a relocation of the family’s original South Tampa location after 17 years.
Soni Cafe
TAMPA, FL — Soni Cafe is targeting a mid-May opening at 4211 W Boy Scout Blvd, Suite 130, Tampa, FL 33607, where owner Elton Shkokota is bringing a cafeteria-style breakfast and lunch concept to Tampa’s Westshore area. Shkokota said the cafe will open inside an office building and operate during weekday business hours, serving both tenants and the public, he told Business Debut.
Sushi Alive
TAMPA, FL — Sushi Alive is planning its second location at 9316 Anderson Road, Tampa, FL 33634, with co-owners Jennifer Ly and her husband Timmy Ly expanding the 20-plus-year-old brand into a space previously occupied by Boston Pizza. Jennifer Ly told Business Debut the modern Asian restaurant will bring its established concept to the area, with an opening targeted for late August.

Hula Mula
ORLANDO, FL — Hula Mula, an all-day European cafe concept founded by Steven Lorenz, is targeting a late summer opening at 201 S. Orange Ave, Suite 105, Orlando, FL 32801. Lorenz, who owns and operates the concept alongside his wife Ramona Reilen, told Business Debut this will be the brand’s first U.S. location, following two existing locations in Germany.
Ravah Culinary Emporium
WINTER GARDEN, FL — Ravah Culinary Emporium plans a June opening in Winter Garden with a restaurant, bakery, and market concept from Juliana Garcia and her husband Julian Madrona. Garcia told Business Debut the business is targeting a June 15 debut at 8800 Seidel Rd #120, Winter Garden, FL 34787, blending the couple’s Brazilian, Spanish, and Italian backgrounds.

Ellianos Coffee
ST. CLOUD, FL — Ellianos Coffee is targeting a late July opening for its first corporate-owned and operated location at 4940 E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, St. Cloud, FL 34771, Executive Director for Corporate Mallory Pruitt told Business Debut. The location marks a milestone for the brand, which was founded by Scott Stewart and Pam Stewart and has grown to 78 locations, primarily through franchising, Pruitt told Business Debut.

Sober Bar
GULFPORT, FL — Sober Bar is targeting a June 15 opening at 3062 Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport, FL 33707, bringing a non-alcoholic “third space” concept to the area, with functional beverages, zero-proof options, and New Orleans-inspired food, owner Sean Hawthorne, alongside general manager Collin Horton and with support from his fiancée Payton Hawthorne, told Business Debut.
Seminole County
Foxtail Coffee
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL — Foxtail Coffee is targeting a May 20 opening at 451 E. Altamonte Dr., Space #FS01, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, with Ouadhah Benrhouma and his partner Abdel Trabelsi bringing the brand to Altamonte Mall. Benrhouma told Business Debut this will be their first Foxtail Coffee franchise location.
