Gianna's Pizza Center Re-Opening in Plantation
Plantation-area Italian restaurant finding a new home.
A Plantation-area favorite is opening in a new location soon. Owner Giuseppe Ribaudo told FFBW that after being forced out of their location of 12 years, they are making progress on a new unit nearby.
Gianna's Pizza Center has a strong connection to the Plantation community, Ribaudo said. His parents moved down to Florida in 1981 and have been in the food business since, offering decades of experience that was reflected in Gianna's.
Ribaudo reported that they were forced out of their storefront in a Publix Shopping Center after Publix decided not to renew their lease. Now, they are renovating a space at 6916 Cypress Rd, Plantation, FL 33317.

The new location will be a bit small than the first. They'll have 15-16 seats inside. Ribaudo reported that since Covid, their business has shifted quite a bit to takeout pizzas, so the small location works for their current model.
An opening date isn't available yet, but Ribaudo is hoping for the end of this month or the start of February.
