CAPE CORAL, FL – Daria's German Restaurant is in construction at 3571 Del Prado Blvd N, Suite 13+14, Cape Coral, FL 33909, with owners targeting an opening within the next two to three months, CEO of Daria US Gastro Group Maximilian von Garnier told Business Debut in an interview.

Daria US Gastro Group also operates Daria's German Bakery and Bistro in Cape Coral.

What to Expect

The dining room will feature booth seating, handmade hardwood tables, and an open kitchen.

A built-in stage will allow for live music, DJs and private events, with the middle floor area able to convert into a dance floor or theater-style seating.

The concept will begin serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the morning, Daria will operate like a German-style bakery. For lunch, expect a quick bistro-style ambiance. In the evening, they will become a dinner restaurant offering full service dining.

The menu will specialize in schnitzels.

Guests will be able to choose from six to eight schnitzel variations, with options for chicken, pork and veal in the classic Vienna style, along with sides such as fries or pan-fried potatoes.

Von Garnier said the team is also developing vegetarian and vegan schnitzel options.

The menu will include Angus beef goulash served with spaetzle and red cabbage, salads, pasta, chicken bites and rotating weekly specials that may graduate onto the core menu based on demand.

The bar will be a full liquor bar with an illuminated design, draft German, local and national beers, bottled beer from multiple countries, German and international wines and cocktails.

Von Garnier said the restaurant plans to pour Bavarian wheat beers from Weihenstephan, the world's oldest brewery, in half-liter and one-liter steins.

Ownership Background

Daria's German Restaurant is part of the Daria US Gastro Group, led by von Garnier and partner Jörg Domscheit.

The restaurant builds on Daria's German Bakery & Bistro in south Cape Coral, which is known for German bread, Kaiser rolls, breakfast goods and lunch plates.

Domscheit runs the existing bistro and developed many of the recipes that will appear on the new dinner menu, including the Angus beef goulash.

Von Garnier previously managed a large restaurant and event space in Hamburg, Germany, for four years and said he aims to combine a restaurant and event model again in Cape Coral.

Daria US operates a broader holdings group in Cape Coral with about 30 companies, including homebuilding, property management, travel arrangements and an in-house technology firm.

Von Garnier said the decision to open the restaurant in Entrada Plaza reflects the concentration of Daria homeowners and members in the Gator Circle area and the relative lack of nearby restaurants.

Opening Timeline

The team does not have an official opening date yet but is targeting sometime within the next two to three months, depending on remaining construction and approvals.

Hours

Von Garnier said the current plan is to operate seven days a week around 7 a.m. — 10 p.m., using multiple shifts across bakery, lunch and dinner service.

He noted that specific hours may adjust after opening based on guest demand.
