Here Are the Details of Tacos & Tequila Cantina's Plans in Cape Coral and The Villages

The Cape Coral location is planning to open in as soon as one week.

CAPE CORAL, FL — Tacos & Tequila Cantina is preparing a new restaurant at 903 NE 15th Place, Suite 130, Cape Coral, FL 33909, with an opening about a weeks or so, director of operations Billy Pfaff told Business Debut in a phone interview.

Pfaff said the concept is owned by Kelly and Aldo Musico, who also operate Aldo's Italian Table and Bar. The Cape Coral restaurant will join existing Tacos & Tequila Cantina locations in Naples and Estero, Pfaff told Business Debut.

What to Expect

Pfaff described the menu as a mix of Tex-Mex and American-influenced tacos, along with more traditional Mexican dishes.

“Kelly had a vision of a Mexican restaurant that was just a fun and a very vibrant, electric atmosphere,” Pfaff told Business Debut.

Specialty tacos include a cheeseburger taco with ground sirloin, shredded cheese, queso, lettuce, tomato and pickle in a tortilla, Pfaff said.

Another item, the Backyard, uses slow-roasted pulled pork, caramelized onions, barbecue sauce and fried pickles. Pfaff also cited a Sunday taco built around buttermilk fried chicken with lettuce, pickles and a house sauce.

Traditional options include carne asada, chorizo and shrimp street-style tacos with cilantro, onions, radish and lime, plus enchiladas, burritos and sizzling fajitas, Pfaff told Business Debut.

Pfaff said the bar program features more than 140 tequilas. “A highlight is that we have over 140 tequilas to go with all those tacos. It is in the name,” Pfaff said.

The restaurant will seat about 130 guests inside, including bar seating, Pfaff told Business Debut.

A private dining room will sit behind a large tequila display wall that separates the main dining room from the bar. Pfaff shared that the private room is suited for business lunches, celebrations, and other events.

Opening Timeline

Pfaff said the team is targeting a friends-and-family soft opening in about 10 days and a full public opening about two weeks from now, dependent on final inspections.

An exact opening date is to be announced.

The Villages Location

The company is also developing a new Tacos & Tequila Cantina at 6994 Eastport Drive, The Villages, FL 32163, in the Eastport Town Center, Pfaff told Business Debut.

Construction at the Villages site has started, with operations targeted in 90 to 120 days, Pfaff said.

That location will be larger and will introduce the brand’s first outdoor bar with a stage to support the community’s entertainment focus.
