BONITA SPRINGS, FL — LowBrow Pizza & Beer is preparing to open a new location at 27815 Midtown Promenade Ave, Suite 100, Bonita Springs, FL 34135 by the end of December, owner Antonio Longobardo told Business Debut.

The Bonita Springs restaurant will be the second LowBrow location and the fourth restaurant in Longobardo’s portfolio.

What to Expect

Longobardo said the Bonita Springs build-out aims to amplify the atmosphere that regulars know from the Naples location. “In Bonita, it's like the Naples location on steroids,” he said.

Design elements will include a large patio sculpture by a local artist, custom tables and themed booths. Concepts include a Super Nintendo booth with classic game pieces set in epoxy, a Star Wars booth with a staged space chase scene, and a prohibition booth with period-inspired items and posters.

Inside, a local artist will complete a 50-by-10-foot mural. Longobardo described it as a 500-square-foot canvas with three-dimensional effects and sculptural elements.

The new LowBrow Pizza & Beer will seat about 190 guests.

LowBrow operates on an internal slogan of “great food, great people and great vibes.” The Naples location has received multiple local awards for its pizza, including recognition from Gulfshore Business and Naples Daily News.

The menu centers on pizza, cocktails and a wide craft beer selection. Longobardo said all draft lines and about 90 percent of cans feature Florida breweries, with a rotating list curated by staff he described as “beer sommeliers.”

The restaurant also functions as a gallery for local artists. “All of our walls are adorned with local artist paintings that are actually for sale,” Longobardo said. He said the group sold close to $100,000 of artwork on consignment last year without taking a commission.

Ownership Background

Longobardo’s path into hospitality began in childhood. “My father owned restaurants when I was growing up. I was in and out of working in restaurants since I was seven years old from hosting to cleaning up tables to later in the kitchen and then out in the dining room,” he said.

He later worked in corporate finance after college. During that time he opened Luigi’s, a small pizza shop at Miromar Outlets in Southwest Florida.

Longobardo then developed Pezzo, a restaurant focused on cocktails and gourmet pizzas, and purchased the original LowBrow Pizza & Beer in Naples about three years ago. “After I purchased Lowbrow three years ago, I finally quit corporate finance. I could no longer juggle everything at once and went all in with restaurants,” he told Business Debut.

“I really appreciate what hospitality in general can bring to everyone's lives from the staff and the community we get to support,” Longobardo said.

Opening Timeline

Construction and build-out are underway at the Midtown mixed-use plaza in a growing corridor of Bonita Springs. The team is “full steam ahead” for an opening by the end of December, he said.
