The Brunch Box Targeting Food Trailer Launch in Jacksonville
The menu will feature shrimp and grits, pork chops, salmon patties, and brunch favorites.
JACKSONVILLE, FL — The Brunch Box, a new food trailer from Pamela Dallas, is targeting a launch between August 15 and September 1 serving Clay, Duval and surrounding counties. Dallas told Business Debut the truck will be parked at Skin Unlimited, located at 1519 Cesary Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32211, while she continues looking for a permanent service location where The Brunch Box can operate regularly between events. Food service will not take place at Skin Unlimited.
Dallas also owns Skin Unlimited, an aesthetics business, and We Care Group, a home health agency. She asked that anyone with a possible permanent parking location for The Brunch Box can reach her through Skin Unlimited.
What to Expect
The Brunch Box will offer brunch throughout the day with a flexible menu built around breakfast, lunch and soul food options, Dallas told Business Debut. The truck is designed to give customers several ways to build a meal, including options such as grits, fries, greens, salad, green beans, mac and cheese and other sides.
“I chose brunch because brunch is variety,” Dallas told Business Debut. “Some days I may want to do soul food. Some days I may want to do brunch. Some days I want to do breakfast.”
Menu and Vision
Dallas said regular menu items are expected to include shrimp and grits, smothered pork chops and grits, breakfast in a cup with salmon patties, chicken and waffles, and other rotating options. The truck will also serve freshly squeezed lemonade in assorted flavors, including guava, pineapple, passion fruit, strawberry, peach, mango and coconut blends, Dallas told Business Debut.
Dallas said she has always had a passion for cooking and wanted to create a business she could grow with her children. She said her long-term goal is to expand The Brunch Box into other cities and college towns.
“I’m just looking forward to everyone being able to taste my cooking,” Dallas told Business Debut. “It’s definitely going to be made with love.”
Opening Timeline
The Brunch Box is targeting an opening between August 15 and September 1. Dallas told Business Debut she is currently working through final startup steps, including inspections and setup for the new food trailer.
The truck is also available for event opportunities once it launches.
Hours
Hours are to be announced. Dallas told Business Debut she expects the schedule to stay flexible based on events, parking location and demand, with possible breakfast, lunch and some later service hours.
