A sprawling new rooftop restaurant is coming to Wynwood soon, chef and partner Raheem Sealey told FFBW. Shiso Miami will fuse the culinary traditions of Asia with American smoked and wood fired cuisine.

Chef Sealey, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu, founded the Drinking Pig BBQ pop up and formerly served as the executive chef for Kyu Restaurants, and has worked in many other popular eateries in South Florida.

The new Shiso Miami is coming to town via Sealey and his partnership with Forward Hospitality Group, based out of Ohio. The concept will be on a second floor roof top in Wynwood at: 239 NW 28th St #122, Miami, FL 33127.

The restaurant will be 11,000 square feet total. Sealey reported that 5,000 of it will be indoors and 6,000 will be outdoor space that includes seating and a bar. Combined, Shiso Miami will offer around 180 seats.

Sealey said that they are hoping to include a chef's table in the restaurant that will provide an interactive dining experience for the guests seated there. The chefs will guide the patrons through the dishes and pairing served at the chef's table. Additionally, Sealey envisions having one of the bars follow a similar theme with their mixologists.

In addition to delicious wood-fired meals, Shiso Miami will offer different forms of live entertainment in the outdoor area.

Sealey plans to open the restaurant toward the end of the summer.
