New in Tampa: Desi District Opening Soon

TAMPA, FL — Desi District Tampa, a new Indian restaurant from franchisee Ruthvik Arikatla, is preparing to open at 1811 E Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL 33612, targeting mid-November, Arikatla told Business Debut in a phone interview. The concept is part of the Desi District franchise, which has locations in multiple states.

What to Expect

Desi District Tampa will offer both casual dining and a fine dining section.

The Tampa location follows a Desi District restaurant in Brandon that opened in February. Arikatla said the Brandon store has performed well so far.

Menu and Vision

Arikatla described Desi District as an Indian restaurant that serves a range of Indian food varieties. The restaurant will feature appetizers that Arikatla remarked were very popular across the franchise. 

For main courses, biryani and tandoori items stand out as guest favorites at other locations, according to Arikatla. The Tampa menu is expected to follow that pattern with a focus on those categories.

Opening Timeline

Arikatla said the team is planning toward the middle of November for the Desi District Tampa opening.
