Layne's Chicken Fingers, a fast-food chain known for its crispy chicken tenders and Southern favorites, is set to open its first Georgia location in late October. Franchisee Shahid Panjwani told Business Debut that the restaurant will be located at 2000 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.

Originally founded in College Station, Texas in 1994, Layne's has since expanded to West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The chain is now poised for further growth, with plans to enter Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee markets.

Panjwani, along with partners Alvin Shah and Seth Bickle, aims to open 18 Layne's locations in Georgia over the next decade. The Roswell restaurant, an end-cap unit in a strip mall, will feature a drive-thru and seat approximately 50 diners. It will operate seven days a week.

Panjwani is no stranger to the franchise model, as he is also a franchisee with Moe's Southwest Grill in the greater Atlanta area.

The group is actively seeking real estate across metro Atlanta for the additional 17 planned locations. They're looking for free-standing or end-cap units with capacity for a drive-thru. "The drive-thru is going to be key for us," Panjwani said.
