Jr's Sports Pub Brining Clearwater a Family-First Pub

A new family-first pub, restaurant and hangout is coming to Largo soon, owner Robert Hessel told FFBW. The pub is locally-owned and will be family-first, as opposed to only family friendly.

Hessel, who is the father of a special needs child, knows first hand the challenges of dining out as a family. To answer this need, JR's Sports Pub will have a sensory room, called Mia's Room, for parents to take their children to if they need to calm down and relax in lower lighting and noise levels.

Additionally, the bar will feature handicap accessible seating that makes moving from a wheel chair to the bar stool possible. Jr's Sport Pub will also have a large, fenced in outdoor area with seven TV's, a bar, a putting green and an occasional bouncy house.

A seperate bar area will feature two pool tables and can be sectioned off from the rest of the building. Inside, Hessel estimates having around 130 seats. Combined with the outdoor space, JR's Sports Pub will be capable of accommodating over 200 guests.

Expect to enjoy menu items like chili, burgers, BBQ and other known and loved bar foods. Hessel plans to open in about two weeks.
