Indian Cuisine in Apopka: Curry Mantra Indian Bistro & Sweets Opening Soon
The brand is relocating from Orlando.
APOPKA, FL – Curry Mantra Indian Bistro & Sweets is relocating from Orlando’s tourist corridor to downtown Apopka at 60 East Main Street Apopka, FL 32703, owner Inderjeet Singh told Business Debut in a phone interview.
Singh said the move follows his family’s relocation to Apopka and growing requests from residents for Indian cuisine closer to home.
What to Expect
The new restaurant will seat about 45 guests and will be near Apopka City Hall.
Beer and wine service is planned under a 2COP license.
Singh said all chicken, lamb and goat on the menu will be halal.
Menu and Vision
Curry Mantra crafts their menu with extra care, grinding each individual seasoning and spice instead of purchasing them as powders. Additionally, the team will prepare handmade sweets and desserts, including Bengali sweets in sugar syrup, condensed milk sweets and cashew-based sweets.
In addition to traditional Indian dishes, the Apopka location will add fusion dishes such as butter chicken quesadillas and butter chicken pasta, along with vegetarian versions using vegetable butter masala.
The menu will also include Indo-Chinese dishes such as Hakka noodles, gobi Manchurian and chili chicken, North Indian Punjabi dishes like butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and goat and lamb curries, Singh said.
Singh is adding South Indian items such as dosas and sambar, and he plans a selection of Indian street foods inspired by his hometown of New Delhi, including items like aloo tikki style burgers and paneer burgers.
Mango lassi and Indian sodas Limca and Thums Up will round out the beverage list.
Ownership Background
Singh moved from India to Central Florida at age 12 and has worked in Indian restaurants since he was 16, starting as a server.
He currently operates Divine Indian Cuisine on West U.S. 192 near Disney’s Animal Kingdom since 2011.
“We’ve been in the industry for 16 years now,” Singh said.
Curry Mantra previously operated on Westwood Boulevard in Orlando near SeaWorld and the Orange County Convention Center before the decision to relocate and expand the concept in Apopka.

Singh said he is targeting an opening in about a month.
