Canadian Franchise Burrito Guyz Opening in Apopka with Several More in Development

APOPKA, FL — Canadian fast-casual franchise Burrito Guyz is preparing its first U.S. location at 2895 Ocoee Apopka Rd, Suite C Building 2, Apopka, FL 32703, with an opening targeted for January, franchisee Viraag Patel told Business Debut in a phone interview.

What to Expect

Burrito Guyz will operate as a fast-casual restaurant that focuses on fresh, Tex-Mex and Mexican-inspired food with added global flavors, Patel told Business Debut. 

He said the menu will center on burritos, tacos and similar formats where guests choose and customize their ingredients at the counter.

Patel said the concept emphasizes “fresh, flavorful Tex-Mex and Mexican-inspired food with global flavor,” including options such as tikka-style chicken and shawarma-style fillings alongside standard Mexican ingredients.

“Our idea is to provide great food and good value,” Patel told Business Debut.

Ownership Background

The Apopka restaurant will be owned and operated by brothers Viraag and Krunal Patel.

Patel said they signed an area development agreement with Burrito Guyz’ Canadian head office covering the entire state of Florida. They initially plan to open 16 in Central Florida before expanding to the rest of the state. 

“In the first two years, we are looking at opening about eight,” Patel shared with Business Debut.

He said they are targeting a total of 30 to 35 locations across Florida over time.

Patel also said they hold a first right of refusal for development in Georgia.

Opening Timeline

The Apopka project is in the permitting stage. They expect permits within about a week and then project roughly three months for buildout.
