Hawaiian Bros to Debut in Downtown Atlanta in 2027
This is part of a multi-location expansion in the Southeast.
ATLANTA, GA — Hawaiian Bros is planned for 112 Courtland St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303, with franchisee Amin Ferdowsi targeting an opening in Q1 2027. Ferdowsi told Business Debut the location will be MRCO’s first Hawaiian Bros restaurant, with more planned across the region.
What to Expect
Hawaiian Bros is a plate lunch concept serving rice, chicken and a side, Ferdowsi told Business Debut. The menu includes several chicken options, including huli huli chicken, with sides such as steamed vegetables and macaroni salad.
Ferdowsi said the Atlanta restaurant will be located on the ground floor of an apartment building at the corner of the property.
Ferdowsi said Hawaiian Bros stood out to him because of its focus on fresh food and a simple operating model.
“They have no fryers, no microwaves and no freezers,” Ferdowsi told Business Debut. “Everything is fresh served right then and there.”
Ferdowsi said MRCO, which operates about 90 Taco Bell restaurants across Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia, sees Hawaiian Bros as a new part of the company’s growth. MRCO has an agreement to develop Hawaiian Bros locations in northern Alabama, western Georgia and North Carolina, Ferdowsi told Business Debut.
“This is an exciting brand, and I just can’t wait to bring it to Atlanta and to the people of Georgia,” Ferdowsi told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
Ferdowsi said the team is targeting Q1 2027 for the downtown Atlanta opening.
“The Courtland Street location is going to be the first, and Q1 2027 is the most realistic timeline,” Ferdowsi told Business Debut.
MRCO is also looking at several additional sites, including locations west of Atlanta and in northern Alabama, Ferdowsi told Business Debut. He said the company hopes to have about four or five Hawaiian Bros locations open by the end of 2027, though the exact number and timing are not final.
