Flaky Not Flaky Opening First Permanent Location in Downtown Atlanta
Popular bakery known for their "sconuts," cakes, and assortment of chocolates will soon debut in Truist Plaza food court.
Flaky Not Flaky, known for its unique "sconuts" and intricately decorated cakes, is preparing to open its first permanent location in the Truist Plaza food court at 303 Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. The bakery, which has operated through online orders and market pop-ups until now, is awaiting building permits to be approved. Co-owners and husband and wife, Miguel and Anna Caraballo, told Business Debut that they aim to open either late July and early August.
With just over 900 square feet, the shop will feature a chef's table in the back, allowing customers to observe the kitchen while enjoying their treats. Reservations for the chef's table experience are encouraged.
Flaky Not Flaky will continue to offer its signature items, including the sconut - a soft and flaky hybrid of a scone and a donut, as well as some new savory items for the lunch crowd. The shop will showcase 13 different sconut flavors daily, alongside their cakes, chocolate bonbons and other sweets.
The new location's savory items will include the DTN or "Downtown Beef Sandwich" with braised beef and pickled vegetables served on a petit baguette. The Caraballos reported that they will have 5 total savory items to debut in the new space.
The brand's emphasis is on their unique takes of traditional dishes. For more information about their offerings and menu, visit the Flaky Not Flaky website and follow them on Instagram.
