City Food Hall Expanding to Athens with Fall 2025 Opening
The new food hall in Athens will feature 10 vendors and a bar, focusing on mentoring local culinary entrepreneurs.
City Food Hall is expanding to Athens, with a new location planned for fall 2025, CEO Peter Rounce shared with Business Debut.
The food hall will be located in The Mark, a student housing complex near downtown, at 130 Hickory St, Athens, GA 30601. This space will feature 10 vendors, including a bar operated by City Food Hall, Rounce said.
City Food Hall is preparing to curate its vendor lineup with a focus on supporting and mentoring local culinary entrepreneurs. Starting next month, the City Food Hall team will immerse themselves in the Athens food scene by visiting food trucks, farmers’ markets, and other local hotspots.
Rounce highlighted their commitment to helping vendors grow, citing past success stories, like a vendor in their West Palm Beach hall whom they guided toward profitability by teaching labor management, food cost control, menu optimization and other strategies.
City Food Hall is partnering with Landmark Properties, an Athens-based real estate development firm, to bring the project to fruition.
The brand is also opening another City Food Hall in Orlando, FL, this December. For more updates, visit City Food Hall online.
