Calico Cactus Bringing Modern Breakfast Tacos to Alpharetta

Calico Cactus, A Modern Taco Shop, is set to open in Alpharetta in late January 2025, according to CEO Scott Moore, who also founded Maple Street Biscuit Company. Located at 100 N Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009, the new breakfast and lunch spot will offer scratch-made breakfast tacos, fresh tortillas, and a full coffee bar featuring specialty drinks and mimosas. After selling Maple Street Biscuit Co. to Cracker Barrel for $36 million, Moore is now venturing into an exciting new culinary chapter.

The Alpharetta location will occupy the ground floor of a newly constructed building with classic architectural touches. Guests can enjoy their meals at one of the 99 seats spread across indoor and outdoor spaces, including a patio connected to a pocket park shaded by trees. The venue also features an elevator allowing guests to take their coffee to the rooftop for a scenic view of Alpharetta. The menu will emphasize freshness and quality, down to signature items like scratch-made watermelon agua frescas.

Moore has brought along key Maple Street Biscuit Co. team members for this new venture. Amanda Urbizu, formerly a trainer and community leader, now serves as the Director of Mission and Model, while Janie Locke joins as the lead trainer.
