CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA — Burrito Shak is planning its first Florida location at 1200 Solaris Dr. #305, Cape Coral, FL 33909, targeting an opening on or around August 1, owner Antoinette Basso told Business Debut. The restaurant is owned by Antoinette Basso, Phil Basso and Vito Basso and will mark the brand’s entry into the Florida market.

What to Expect

Burrito Shak will bring a fast-casual concept centered on fresh, made-to-order coastal Mexican food. Guests can expect a build-your-own format where items are prepared in front of them along a service line, with options to dine in, take out or use a pickup window for call-ahead orders.

“Burrito Shack is fresh coastal Mexican food all prepared fresh daily. There are no leftovers,” Antoinette Basso told Business Debut.

The approximately 1,800-square-foot space will feature about 45 seats and a coastal-inspired design with blue and white tones, surfboard decor and a casual layout.

The menu will focus on burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and nachos, with proteins including chicken, steak, ground beef and shrimp. The team plans to source shrimp locally when available.

“We do fresh shrimp, which we’re going to actually be getting from local fishermen here,” Phil Basso told Business Debut.

The restaurant is family and veteran owned, with the owners emphasizing community engagement, particularly with veterans and first responders. The team plans to create a dedicated in-store area where first responders can leave patches or memorabilia.

Victoria Pereira, daughter of the ownership group, will support operations through social media, hiring and community outreach efforts.

The team is targeting an opening on or around August 1.
