Canadian Brand Planning Boca Raton Opening: Sushi Taxi
The brand is opening up U.S.-based franchise opportunities soon.
BOCA RATON, FL – Sushi Taxi, a Quebec-based QSR brand, plans to open its first U.S. location this fall at 1928 NE 5th Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431, owner Rosanne Giguere told Business Debut in a phone interview.
Giguere said Sushi Taxi was founded in 2000 in Quebec and has grown to 30 locations there. She purchased the company in 2022 and has focused on preparing the brand for broader growth, Giguere told Business Debut. The Boca Raton restaurant will be a corporate location as the company learns the U.S. market.
What to Expect
The Boca Raton restaurant will operate as a fast casual concept with a focus on grab-and-go orders and delivery, Giguere told Business Debut. The space is about 1,000 square feet and will offer seating along with takeaway options.
Platters for groups are a core part of the concept, head of marketing Marie-Pierre Guignard shared with Business Debut in a phone interview. Guignard said the brand offers platters with 50 to 100 pieces that guests often bring to picnics, barbecues and gatherings.
