4 Hillsborough County Restaurants Opening This Month

You should know about these four spots opening in the Tampa area. Business Debut confirmed the details with each owner.
Opening dates can fluctuate, however, so confirm that a resturant is open on their social media before you show up with an appetite.
Slap Burger — Tampa
Address: 14915 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33613
Status: Targeting June 21. The date is not formally finalized yet.
What to expect: New York- and New Jersey-born smashburger franchise opening near USF with about 40 seats. The restaurant is expected to serve late-night diners, including students and nearby residents.
Menu highlights: Smashburgers with single, double, or triple patties; Slap and Flame burger with jalapeños; Slap Melt with two patties and three cheeses; fries; in-house mac and cheese; hot dogs; loaded platters; chicken tenders; shakes; and flavored Slap Lemonade.
Hours: Final daily hours are still to be announced. The team expects to start by staying open until about 2:30 a.m., with possible later hours.

ANF Gyros And Grill — Plant City
Address: 1713 James L Redman Pkwy, Plant City, FL 33563
Status: Targeting mid-June, pending final inspections. Owner Frank Haouati said the restaurant was aiming to open in approximately two weeks as of the June 2 Business Debut report.
What to expect: A new Plant City location for the Florida gyros and grill brand. The restaurant will follow the same setup as the other ANF Gyros And Grill locations.
Menu highlights: Gyros and grilled items, with grand opening discounts planned. Specific discounts will be announced closer to opening.
Hours: Not yet announced.
Who’s behind it: Owner Frank Haouati. The Plant City restaurant is expected to be the brand’s ninth open Florida location.
D’Rose Gastro Bar — Tampa / Ybor City
Address: 2238 E 7th Ave Unit A, Tampa, FL 33605
Status: Targeting mid-June, pending permitting and licensing approvals.
What to expect: Full-service casual dining with a hospitality-first approach. The space will include a large wraparound bar with about 30 seats, a dining room for roughly 125 to 130 guests, and possible outdoor seating if approved.
Menu highlights: Modern gastrobar food with Colombian influence, including small plates, steak, chicken, seafood, shareables, seasonal ingredients, and a chontaduro hummus served with chips made from pan de bono. The bar program will include nine signature cocktails, including a Lulada sour.
Hours: Planned Tuesday through Sunday for dinner service starting at 4 p.m. Brunch is expected in a later phase, likely three to six months after opening.
Who’s behind it: Chef Victor M. Lopez, executive chef Osyamil Milian, general manager Gustavo Lopez, beverage director Tatiana Gonzalez, and partner Edgar Lopez.

Corner Haus — Tampa
Address: 7112 N. Florida Ave., Unit 7118, Tampa, FL 33604
Status: Targeting June 26, with July 1 as a backup opening date.
What to expect: Creative co-op space combining flowers, fitness classes, coffee, matcha, retail, a photography studio, and event rentals. The 1,800-square-foot space will bring several local concepts together under one roof.
Menu highlights: Coffee and matcha from Flour My Day, including strawberry matcha, banana pudding matcha, cookie butter matcha, lattes, flat whites, and Americanos. The space also plans occasional Sourdough Saturdays with market-style baked goods.
Hours: Planned Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Who’s behind it: Co-owners Gabbie Welvaert of Wall Flower Events & Co. and Gabbie Mondejar of Sage Coterie. Tatiana Maldonado of Flour My Day will handle the coffee and matcha side.
