Soni Cafe — Tampa

Status: Targeting mid-May opening (pending final preparations).
What to expect: Cafeteria-style breakfast and lunch concept inside an office building. About 40 seats with a quick, pickup-focused flow built for office workers and walk-ins.
Menu highlights: Breakfast sandwiches, omelets, egg platters, and bowls. Lunch centers on Boar’s Head sandwiches, rotating hot specials (often Italian or Spanish), plus salads like Caesar, Greek, chef’s, and antipasto.

D’Rose Gastro Bar — Tampa (Ybor City)

Lumbre — Tampa

What to expect: Full-service Spanish restaurant centered on shareable dining. Bright, open layout for about 125 guests with design cues inspired by Spain.

Alessi Bakery (New Flagship) — Tampa

Status: Soft opening April 14; grand opening April 15.
What to expect: A major expansion into an 18,000-square-foot food destination. Includes bakery, deli, market, full bar, and multiple indoor/outdoor seating areas.
Menu highlights: Cuban sandwiches, roast pork, chicken piccata, salads, and prepared meals. Bakery staples like cakes and scotchata remain, alongside coffee, smoothies, acai bowls, and Woodstone oven pizza.
Hours: Daily 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with extended hours for select offerings.
Who’s behind it: The Alessi family, continuing a business that dates back to 1912.
