3 South Florida Restaurants Planning May Openings
Here's a list of what's opening this month in South Florida between Wellington, West Palm Beach, and Coral Gables.
Business Debut spoke with several South Florida restaurant owners in recent weeks, and these are the ones who plan to open their concepts this month.
Enjoy!

Entre Campos — Wellington
Address: 11924 Forest Hill Blvd Suite 26, Wellington, FL 33414
Status: May 18th or May 25th, per a recent post on Instagram.
What to expect: A boutique-style Argentine-inspired coffee shop shaped by Wellington’s equestrian setting and owner Jacqueline Porcano’s Argentine roots. The shop will offer counter service, 28 indoor seats, planned outdoor seating, and traditional Argentine mate.
Menu highlights: Italian and Colombian coffee, empanadas, alfajores, salads, gelato, and other Argentine bites. Alfajores will be a major focus, with versions including chocolate-covered and pistachio cream.
Hours: Planned Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Who’s behind it: Owner Jacqueline Porcano, with her son Agustin Puga serving as partner and manager.
Casa Vialetto — Coral Gables
Address: 276 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables, FL 33134
Status: Aiming for an end-of-May reopening, pending final local and state permits, as of an interview on April 17th.
What to expect: Casa Vialetto brings back the spirit of Café Vialetto, the Italian fine dining restaurant owner Marcelo Chopa originally opened in 1999. The new space will be smaller than the original, with about 45 to 50 seats, but the goal is to preserve the polished dining experience that built a loyal following over more than two decades.
Menu highlights: Italian cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, pastas, local products, and risotto. Highlighted dishes include pan-seared hog snapper in mango mojito sauce with arugula and shrimp risotto, along with braised beef short ribs with rosemary demi-glace and champagne risotto.
Hours: Planned seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Who’s behind it: Owner Marcelo Chopa, continuing the restaurant after Café Vialetto’s former property was sold.
Garden Butcher — West Palm Beach
Address: 501 S. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33401
Status: Targeting an end-of-May opening, as of an interview on April 29th.
What to expect: A prepared food market and cafe built around healthy meals, grab-and-go options, and made-to-order service. The West Palm Beach location will be Garden Butcher’s second shop and a larger step for the brand, with about 2,300 square feet and roughly 70 seats.
Menu highlights: Wraps, bowls, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, and prepared meals. The menu is seed-oil-free, refined-sugar-free, and includes many naturally gluten-free items. Popular items include the chicken Caesar wrap, Strawberry Glow smoothie, grass-fed sliders, gluten-free chicken tenders, and buffalo cauliflower.
Hours: Planned daily from 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
Who’s behind it: Founder Erin Leeds, a trained chef and mother of four who opened the first Garden Butcher in Boca Raton.
