BROWARD COUNTY

The Shahs of Kebabs

A new location for the Shahs of Kebabs brand is planned to debut in Fort Lauderdale. Owner Amin Ebrahimi told FFBW that the new location will become a flagship restaurant for Shahs of Kebabs.

Ebrahimi reported that the new location is under construction at: 2703 E Commercial Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. The building is the brand's first completely new build out. All of the previous locations have been second generation builds.

An exact opening date isn't available as of now, but Ebrahimi has more plans for the rest of this year. While this is the brand sixth unit, he intends to open in Davie, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Naples, and on Las Olas before the end of the year.

I Heart Mac and Cheese

A location of I Heart Mac and Cheese is planned to open in the Plantation Walk development this fall, franchisee Gregory Schram told FFBW.

The new fast-casual mac and cheese spot will set up in an 1,800 square foot space that will feature indoor and outdoor seating. Earlier on in the process, Schram shared that a September or October debut is expected.

Following this location, another I Heart Mac and Cheese is planned for the area. An exact location and timeline isn't available yet.

BREVARD COUNTY

Glas Show Kitchen & Lounge

A brand new concept is coming to Cocoa soon from owner Michael Ricks, who has years of experience in the hospitality industry. Ricks shared with FFBW in an interview the ambitious concept he's preparing for Brevard County.

Glas Show Kitchen and Lounge will provide an enticing range of experiences for its guests. The concept will host celebrity and social media prominent chefs, curate an inviting lounge and club area with DJ's, offer a menu of scratch-made and locally-sourced dishes and host Saturday and Sunday brunches.

Coco Fresco

A new food trailer serving fresh juices, coconuts and fruit is coming to Palm Bay soon, owner Kayshla Peguero told FFBW.

Coco Fresco is Peguero's first food truck, and she is planning to open as soon as the trailer is inspected. Once this happens, she will travel around to different locations near or on the beach to sell her refreshing fruit bowls and drinks.

An exact opening timeline isn't available yet, as Peguero is waiting on the inspection, but you can keep up with the brand via Instagram.

ORANGE COUNTY

BaBbi BaBbi

Two new locations of the authentic Korean restaurant BaBbi BaBbi are opening soon in the Orlando area. A representative of the brand reported to FFBW that the second location will be in Winter Garden, and the third will open in Lake Nona.

The address for the Winter Garden location is: 1260 Daniels Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787. This location is closest to opening, and the Babbi Babbi representative shared that a mid-April opening is expected.

One More Scoop

A new ice cream and dessert shop is preparing to open soon in Orlando, owner Miguel Valle told FFBW. One More Scoop will offer Hershey's ice cream, cookies, coffees, shakes and other treats.

Find the new shop at: 7232 Clarcona Ocoee Rd, Orlando, FL 32818. Valle reported that they are very near opening and are waiting on final approval from the state. If all goes according to plan, One More Scoop will open around the start of April.

They will likely be open seven days a week and maintain hours from 11 am - 8 pm. During the weekend they may be open later.

Moody Desserts

A new "third place" is coming to Ocoee soon, operator Faraday Moody told FFBW. Moody Desserts will serve as a neighborhood hangout that offers guests a place to relax, socialize and enjoy snacks and drinks.

Moody shared that they don't have an opening date set yet. However, once operational, they will be open 7 days a week from 7 am - 9 pm. Expect to enjoy coffee, teas, smoothies, cookies, cakes, ice cream, shaved ice and more.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

C'M Subs

A new food trailer is coming to the area soon, co-owner Carolyn Hanratty told FFBW. C'M Subs is the joint effort of Carolyn and her husband Mike Hanratty, thus providing the name C'M Subs.

The trailer will specialize in serving cold, made-to-order subs. Carolyn reported that she has spend years in the food and sandwich business. She'll serve clubs, Italians, ham and cheeses, turkey and cheeses, vegetarian subs and a salad. She'll cut her meats fresh and use fresh bread as well. For the kids, Hanratty will offer meat and cheese roll ups.

Expect also to season your subs with oil and vinegar and to garnish it with your choice of sweet or dill pickle.

The trailer is planned to open in April. Hanratty plans to go to various events on the weekends to start. A schedule isn't available yet, but keep an eye on the Facebook page for announcements later on.

VOLUSIA COUNTY

Royal Rasoi Express

An express version of the Lake Mary restaurant The Royal Rasoi is opening soon in Port Orange, VP Ashok Kumar told FFBW. The Royal Rasoi brand is expanding after opening the original location five years ago.

The express version will offer a similar menu of chicken, lamb, vegetarian dishes, curry, rice, seafood and more. The space will have some hightop seating and a couple of small tables for those who want to pick up their food and quickly eat there.

Wang's Asian Express

A new, independent build-your-own meal restaurant is opening soon in North Fort Myers, owner Ellen Wang told FFBW.

Wang's Asian Express will feature a bar of bases, greens, proteins, sauces and more for guests to choose from as employees assemble their picks onto a plate or bowl. Additionally, Wang said that they would have some dishes prepared to order. The food will reflect popular Asian dishes from across the region.

Wang is planning to debut the restaurant in May. Once opened, expect hours from 11-8:30 seven days a week.

COLLIER COUNTY

Frosty Bear

A new food truck is preparing to open soon in the Naples area via owners Michael Naraine and Nansi Ghobrail. Naraine shared with FFBW that the truck is near completion, and they are waiting for their inspection before opening.

Frosty Bear will serve a simple menu of snow cones, hot dogs, chips and drinks to start. Naraine emphasized that they intend to start small and steadily expand the menu as they get a handle on their business.

They will primarily appear at festivals and events, and Naraine will operate the truck five to six days a week. A social media page and website are forthcoming.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Brisket and Beyond BBQ

A new food truck is coming to the area soon via David Snow, an area real estate broker who is shifting his focus to the culinary world.

Brisket and Beyond BBQ will offer the Tampa-area wood smoked brisket, ribs, pork, sausage and specials like beef ribs, turkey and more. Sides will include collard greens, beans, potato salad and mac and cheese. After a few months of operation, Snow will incorporate a fryer into truck to include fries, tots and fried corn.

The truck, once opened, will attend events around the area before settling into a rhythm of locations where it can be frequently found.

The Legendary JR Boy's Mobile Kitchen

A new food trailer is opening soon in the Tampa area, co-owner Trina Johnson told FFBW. The Legendary JR Boy's Mobile Kitchen is coming to the area to provide more burgers, loaded fries, chicken tenders, egg rolls and much more.

The trailer is waiting on inspections to be done, Johnson said. Because of this, she doesn't have an opening date to share yet.

Once opened, they will serve food 3-4 days a week throughout the Tampa area.

PINELLAS COUNTY

Sol Premium Lounge

A new lounge and restaurant is preparing to debut in St. Pete soon, owner and musician Native Wellz told FFBW. Wellz shared that with his years of experience in the entertainment and music industry, he is bringing a celebrity hangout and lounge to the area.

Sol Premium Lounge is also coinciding with the launch of Sol Premium Rum, Wellz' new liquor brand. The lounge will be open seven days a week, and on the weekends, they will remain open until around 3 am, or until the party stops.

During the day, Sol Premium Lounge will serve flatbreads, charcuterie and many other dishes.

Wellz shared that he is adding the finishing touches to the space, and he plans to soft open in mid-April. Following that, he'll have a grand opening on May 1.

Shiso Crispy

Two new locations of the food truck brand turned brick and mortar franchise are opening in St. Pete. Owner Ronicca Whaley told FFBW that after opening 5 food trucks in Florida, she is expanding Shiso Crispy rapidly with brick and mortar locations.

The first of the two new units will open at: 1431 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33705. Whaley estimates opening in a couple of weeks. They will serve their delicious menu of bao buns, dirty rice, gyoza and much more.

ST. JOHN'S COUNTY

Loop Restaurant

A new location of The Loop Restaurant is planning to open soon in St. Augustine, franchisee Maurilios Gonzalez told FFBW. This location of the Loop is Gonzalez's second, and he's planning for at least one more.

The restaurant will open at: 150 Village Commons Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32092. Gonzalez shared that the space is around 3,100 square feet and will have 90 seats.

He's expecting to open either the first or second week of April, barring construction delays. They'll be open 7 days a week from 11-9 Sunday - Thursday and 11-10 Friday and Saturday.

Following this new Loop location, Gonzalez is actively looking for a space to open another in Ponte Vedra Beach.

DUVAL COUNTY

Ciao Trattoria Italiana

A new Italian restaurant is in the works, owner Tonino Di Bella told FFBW. Ciao Trattoria Italiana will be Di Bella's most family focused concept yet.

The new space is under construction at: 4076 Belfort Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Di Bella is expecting to open the doors as soon as May. Ciao Trattoria Italiana will offer a full bar, lunch, dinner, a private dining room and a family focused menu.

The space in total will have 120 seats, 25 of which will be in the private dining room. This is Di Bella's third restaurant; but he may open more in the future, as he reported to always be on the lookout for a good opportunity.

D'Bo's Daiquiri, Wings and Seafood

From employee to owner, Tanya Wright and her daughter Tiyionna Irizarry are opening a location of D'Bo's Daiquiri, Wings and Seafood in Jacksonville.

The brand was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, where Wright is from. She shared that she used to work at the original location years ago, before moving to Jacksonville. When a franchising opportunity rose for the area, Wright decided to jump on it.

CLAY & PUTNAM COUNTIES

One More Lumpia

A new food truck is coming to Clay and Putnam Counties very soon, owner Rebecca Ferguson told FFBW.

The menu will serve Filipino dishes like lumpia and panict. The trailer is slated to debut on Saturday, March 22. They'll be popping up at: 734 Hwy 17, San Mateo, FL 32187 outside of Vern & Son's Thrift Store.

Once opened, Ferguson will travel on the weekends to events and popular locations to serve her food. Ferguson is opening One More Lumpia as a side business after serving 26 years in the Navy.
