Noodle Shawty Bringing Late Night Dining to Orlando
This concept will focus on takeout with limited dine-in seating in downtown Orlando.
ORLANDO, FL — Noodle Shawty, from owner Brandon King and his partner Galow Tenario, is targeting a May 15 opening at 28 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801, in the former Dapper Duck space. King told Business Debut the concept will focus on fast-casual Asian-inspired stir fry with an emphasis on late-night dining.
What to Expect
Noodle Shawty will operate as a fast-casual, primarily takeout-driven restaurant with limited dine-in seating, accommodating fewer than 50 guests. King said the concept is designed to fill a gap in downtown Orlando’s late-night food scene, noting a lack of diverse options beyond pizza, hot dogs, and tacos.
“We’re looking to be a late-night option going all the way till 4 a.m. on weekends,” King told Business Debut. The restaurant is expected to operate seven days a week, with potential hours from 7 a.m. to 4 a.m., including a morning café component.
Menu and Vision
The menu will center on stir fry-style dishes, including items like orange chicken, Mongolian beef, lo mein, hibachi bowls, and wings. King said he has spent significant time refining flavors, including using honey in place of sugar in certain dishes.
“I want people to think like when they want Asian food downtown or late night, they think of us,” King told Business Debut.
Morning offerings will be more limited, with plans for house-made ube doughnuts and a matcha bar. “I don’t think there’s too many places with ube doughnut holes, and I’m working really hard with one of my chefs to perfect that one,” he told Business Debut.
King, who has more than a decade of hospitality experience and has worked as a manager at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, said this marks his first restaurant. He emphasized that the concept is rooted in both his professional background and his observations of downtown Orlando’s evolving needs.
“I really want to see the city do well,” King told Business Debut. “I think downtown is going to be moving in the right direction, and we’re going to bring families back downtown… I want us to be a positive movement in the right direction for the city.”
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a May 15 opening, pending final preparations. King said progress is moving in the right direction, with plans to open as soon as possible if everything stays on track.
Hours
Planned hours are 7 a.m. — 4 a.m., seven days a week, with the possibility of expanding to 24-hour service in the future.
