New and Coming Soon Roswell: OCT Chai Bar
OCT stands for Organic Chai Theory.
ROSWELL, GA – OCT Chai Bar, a chai-focused cafe built around organic ingredients and regional Indian teas, is preparing to open at 580 E Crossville Rd, Suite 400, Roswell GA 30075, GA, owner Preeti Thukral told Business Debut in a phone interview.
Thukral said OCT stands for Organic Chai Theory and described the concept as a dedicated chai bar with a broad range of teas and a limited amount of coffee. This will be Thukral’s first cafe.
What to Expect
The cafe will seat about 25 guests, with a small lounge-style area. Shelving with books in different genres will line the space so guests can read in the cafe or while they drink their chai.
The shop will support both sit-down and grab-and-go orders.
Menu and Vision
The menu centers on chai sourced from different regions of India and South Asia. She cited North India, Darjeeling and Assam as examples and said the chai menu will be the main focus.
The cafe will also serve herbal teas with ingredients selected for properties such as healing and antioxidants, Thukral told Business Debut. She said most products will be organic, including milk used for chai, and tea leaves imported from India.
Thukral shared that she plans to source local or organic vegetables when available as she builds out the food and snack offerings to align with a health-focused menu.
Opening Timeline
Construction delays pushed back the original launch, Thukral shared with Business Debut. She said the build-out is in its final phase and that opening is targeting late August or the first week of September.
