ROSWELL, GA — Chucho, a Mexican brand specializing in churros and chocolate, is planning to open its first U.S. location at 34 Webb St suite 201, Roswell GA 30075, owner Perla Brito told Business Debut. The churro and chocolate concept started in Mexico in 2018 and has eight stores there, Brito told Business Debut.

The brand will be opening in the Webb Collective, a dining and shopping destination in Downtown Roswell.

What to Expect

Chucho will specialize in customizable churros and chocolate, Brito told Business Debut. The Roswell shop will offer quick service, with churros made to order.

Guests will be able to choose their fillings, toppings and coverings once the churros are made. The shop will also offer cold and hot beverages, mostly based on chocolate, Brito told Business Debut.

History

Brito said the brand’s name comes from its focus on churros and chocolate. The concept was created by her brother in Mexico, and Brito said one of the brand’s stores near the American embassy in Mexico City helped spark interest from U.S. customers.

“They would be like, ‘Oh, we love this, you should bring it to the States,’” Brito told Business Debut. “Since I happened to live here... we just got together and planned for this to take place here in Roswell to start with.”

Brito said she hopes the Roswell shop will be the first of many U.S. locations.

Opening Timeline

Chucho is targeting an opening in the next one to two months, Brito told Business Debut. She said the team is waiting on permit-related work tied to the landlord’s installation of a grease trap before moving forward.
