Asher & Rose Grocers

MARIETTA, GA — Asher & Rose Grocers plans to open January 19 at 45 W Park Square, Marietta, GA 30060, owner Greg Lipman told Business Debut. Lipman and his mother, Betty Bahl, recently closed their longtime Marietta Square restaurant, Piastra, and are converting the space into a specialty grocery store with a cafe and bar.

Ben Hill Pub

ATLANTA, GA — Ben Hill Pub, a neighborhood sports bar from owner Fredericka Jones, is targeting a mid-February opening at 3762 Campbellton Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30331, Jones told Business Debut. Jones said work on the building began in August, with equipment deliveries expected to start within the next eight to 10 days.

ATLANTA, GA — Cafe in the City, the latest concept from Gloria and Marvin Smith, plans to open by April at 935 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318, Smith told Business Debut. The couple is targeting an opening between March and April.

ATLANTA — Wyld Bird, a new concept from operators Thomas Syfan and business partner Tony Seichrist, is targeting a mid-February opening at 968 Memorial Dr SE, operating out of Home Grown’s space for dinner service. Syfran and Seichrist are the owners of The Wyld Dock Bar in Savannah.

FORSYTH, GA — Treats with Lenise is planning a new bakery, breakfast and lunch concept in downtown Forsyth at 35 W Johnston St, Forsyth, GA 31029. Owner Lenise Leknes told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening about one year from now as the project moves into design and contractor selection.

SUEA Thailicious

SUEA Thailicious, a new Thai concept, is planning to open in Augusta at: 123 James Brown Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901, co-owner Arisa Thongsri told Business Debut. The new restaurant will follow a full service model and offer a full bar as well. The dining room will seat about 40 guests inside, and the team plans to operate seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
