Bruno Ponce, a former restaurant employee, launched Mimmo's Mozzarella in 2010, initially focusing on producing fresh mozzarella and burrata. In 2013, the business expanded to become both an Italian market and café.

Mimmo's now operates two locations: 475 NE 123rd St, North Miami, FL 33161 and 222 71st St, Miami Beach, FL 33141. Both offer a diverse menu including cheese boards, paninis, pizzas, fresh deli meats and a wide variety of house-made cheeses.

A unique feature of Mimmo's is their Cheese Class, where participants learn to make fresh mozzarella and burrata hands-on. The class includes cheese tasting with wine and dessert, and each participant takes home 1.5 pounds of self-made mozzarella.
