Salted Melon Bringing Healthy Fast-Casual Dining to Buckhead
Coffee, smoothies, paninis, and nourishing bowls will anchor Salted Melon’s first Atlanta outpost.

ATLANTA, GA – Salted Melon Market & Eatery is bringing its healthy fast-casual concept to Buckhead with a new location planned for 56 E Andrews Dr, NW, STE 17, Atlanta, GA 30305. The brand, which already operates three locations in Charlotte, plans to open its first out-of-state restaurant in early February 2026, according to owner Thomas Coker, who spoke with Business Debut. We came across the story first in What Now.
Coker, who launched the first Salted Melon in Charlotte’s South End in 2022, is leading the expansion along with his father, Tom Coker, an investor and founder of Reids Fine Foods in Charlotte, NC.
A Healthy, All-Day Concept
Salted Melon is designed as a counter-service restaurant focused on healthy, approachable meals throughout the day. Guests can stop in for coffee in the morning, grab a quick breakfast, enjoy a nourishing lunch, or order dinner for the family. “We try to kind of meet people’s needs throughout their day, whether it’s coffee in the morning, a quick breakfast, or maybe coming back for a healthy lunch,” Coker explained.
The Atlanta restaurant will feature seating for 60 guests indoors, plus 16 patio seats, offering a casual yet elevated dining experience.
Once open, the Atlanta Salted Melon will operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
What’s on the Menu
The all-day menu includes smoothies, a full coffee bar, and a mix of breakfast staples, wraps, sandwiches, bowls, salads, and baked goods. Some highlights include:
- Spicy Caesar Wrap (Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap) – one of the brand’s bestsellers and a personal favorite of Coker.
- Breakfast Burrito – described as a staple of the menu.
- Truffle Fries
- Avocado Toast, Overnight Oats, Turkey Prosciutto Panini, and Blazin’ Buffalo Bowl – popular picks from existing locations.
The beverage program also features a selection of limited alcoholic options alongside retail non-alcoholic beverages.

Backed by Family Experience
Coker credits much of his entrepreneurial path to working alongside his father, who operates multiple Reids Fine Foods locations in Charlotte, NC. “We really thought we had a good model, and it seems to be working well. We're so confident in the brand, and we're excited to test out a new market.” Coker said.
The brand has achieved success in Charlotte, NC, with multiple locations, including its original 7,000-square-foot restaurant featuring a large market component. The Atlanta opening marks Salted Melon’s first step into a new market.
