Rooted Coffeehouse Expanding With New Augusta Location
Rooted Coffee House is opening their 5th location.
AUGUSTA, GA — Rooted Coffeehouse will open its fifth location at 471 Highland Ave, Augusta, GA 30909, targeting a Black Friday 2025 debut. Owner Ali Kocher told Business Debut the new café will bring the brand’s familiar menu and community-focused atmosphere to the three story Surrey Center shopping plaza.
What to Expect
The 2,200-square-foot space will offer quick service with both indoor and outdoor seating, featuring couches, bistro tables, and family-friendly accommodations such as high chairs. Guests can dine in or take their food to go. Kocher described the concept as “for everybody”—from families and moms meeting for coffee to couples on a date.

Menu and Vision
Rooted Coffeehouse’s Surrey Center location will mirror the brand’s full menu, including its bistro brunch selection from the Westlake café. Offerings will include breakfast and lunch favorites, with beer, wine, mimosas, and Bloody Marys available.
Kocher told Business Debut that Rooted Coffeehouse “is so much more than coffee.” She added, “We want to leave people better than we found them. Our goal is to create a place where people feel at home.”
She also shared that Rooted has grown into a true family business. “My mom, Heather Neebles, and I started this together, and now nearly our whole family is part of it,” Kocher said. “It’s been a blessing because there’s no more loyal help than family.”
In addition to its café operations, Rooted Coffeehouse has begun offering catering services for its full bistro menu.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a Black Friday 2025 opening.
Hours
Exact hours are to be announced. Kocher said the café will likely operate between 6 a.m.–4 p.m., though hours may adjust based on customer demand.
