New Jersey-Influenced Bar and Grill Opening in Duluth
The New Jersey-inspired concept will feature Italian hot dogs, cheesesteaks, and alcoholic ice cream drinks.
DULUTH, GA – Brick City Ice Cream Bar & Grill is bringing a New Jersey-inspired bar and grill to 1950 Satellite Blvd Ste 700, Duluth, GA 30097, GA. The concept is led by owner Eliijah Pennix and is targeting a July opening, Pennix told Business Debut.
What to Expect
Pennix described Brick City Ice Cream Bar & Grill as a bar and grill with a focus on both classic ice cream and alcoholic ice cream beverages, he told Business Debut. The space is organized around two large bar areas. One side combines a traditional bar with the ice cream counter near the front entrance, while the second bar faces an open kitchen so guests can see cooks at work, Pennix shared with Business Debut in a phone interview.
The ice cream area will use a cold-stone style setup. Guests will be able to choose mix-ins and watch staff blend their selections on the chilled surface, Pennix told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
The name Brick City references the owners’ New Jersey roots. Pennix said the menu draws from northern dishes he grew up with, including items influenced by New Jersey’s Italian American food culture, he told Business Debut.
A centerpiece of the menu will be Italian hot dogs and Italian cheesesteaks. These sandwiches use a specialty bread called an Italian pizza roll, which Pennix said is typically produced in New Jersey and New York. He shared with Business Debut that the team worked with a local producer to source a version of that roll in Georgia.
Pennix said the goal is to bring familiar New Jersey flavors to a Duluth.
Opening Timeline
Brick City Ice Cream Bar & Grill is targeting a July opening, Pennix told Business Debut. An exact opening date is to be announced.
