Miró Spanish Grille Planning Second Charlotte Location in SouthPark
Miró is expanding to SouthPark with a larger patio, private dining, and a late summer to early fall opening.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Miró Spanish Grille is planning a second location at 4905 Ashley Park Lane, Charlotte, NC 28210, targeting a late summer to early fall opening, co-owner Felipe Alvarez told Business Debut.
The SouthPark restaurant will build on the brand’s nearly three-decade presence in the market while introducing an updated design and expanded experience.
What to Expect
The new location will span roughly 4,000 square feet, similar in size to the Ballantyne restaurant, with about 90 indoor seats, bar seating, and a larger patio accommodating up to 30 guests. Alvarez said the space is being designed to feel connected to the original while offering a more refined and intentional atmosphere.
The concept will continue to center on hospitality and social connection. “We want to keep it interesting and fun… a place where you can connect with your friends, have a cozy date night, and enjoy live music,” Alvarez told Business Debut.
Plans also include a private dining room, a feature not available at the current location, aimed at meeting demand in the SouthPark market.
Menu and Vision
The menu will follow an 80/20 approach, with about 80 percent of dishes mirroring the existing Miró offerings and 20 percent tailored to the SouthPark audience. Alvarez said the team will adjust food and beverage selections based on guest preferences while maintaining a strong focus on Spanish cuisine and wines.

The brand draws on inspiration from Spanish artist Joan Miró, embracing Spanish culture and cuisine. The business is owned by Alvarez and his partners, Erwin Del Pozo and Aldo Caballero.
“We are very keen on making sure we make you feel special,” Alvarez told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a late summer or early fall opening, with September as a goal, though timing will depend on final design and construction progress.
Miró plans to host a series of preview events for media, longtime guests, staff, and the local community ahead of the official launch.
Hours
Initial hours will focus on dinner service, mirroring the Ballantyne location, with plans to expand into lunch or brunch service after opening.
