Karak House Coffee Plans Debut in Charlotte, First in NC
The franchise is making its debut in the North Carolina market in the late summer.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Karak House Coffee is planning to open its first Charlotte location at 220 N Pine St, Suite A, Charlotte, NC 28202, franchisee Lythe El-hulu told Business Debut.
The shop is targeting an August opening, El-hulu told Business Debut. The Charlotte location will be the brand’s first in North Carolina, following locations in Laguna Hills, California, and New York.
What to Expect
Karak House Coffee will focus on beverages, with pastries also planned for the Charlotte shop, El-hulu told Business Debut. The brand’s main specialty will be karak shots, a tea-based drink made with blends and evaporated milk, he told Business Debut.
The space will be about 2,000 square feet with capacity for about 80 people. Elhulu said the shop will have plenty of seating and is intended to serve a mix of guests in the Uptown area, including people stopping in before work and those looking for a place to sit.

A defining feature of the brand are its late opening hours. Few coffee and tea concepts stay open late. Karak Coffee House intends to give people a dedicated space to hang out, work, or unwind well into the evening.
“I’m just excited to share this opportunity with everybody, just to bring something from California over here,” El-hulu told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline
Karak House Coffee is targeting an August opening. El-hulu said the team had received permits and was preparing to begin construction.
El-hulu also said he plans to open more than one location in Charlotte, with the market potentially supporting up to three shops while keeping the brand limited and unique.
