Lakeside Social Bringing Food Trucks and Live Events to Viera
This concept will feature food trucks, live entertainment, and a waterfront gathering space.
VIERA, FL — Lakeside Social is targeting an early June 2026 opening at 2431 Town Center Ave, Building 2, Melbourne, FL 32940, bringing a large-scale food truck park, live entertainment, and waterfront gathering space to the heart of Viera. Owner Daniel Todd confirmed the timeline and details in an interview, noting the project is designed as a community-focused destination.
What to Expect
Lakeside Social will feature six semi-permanent food trucks, a performance stage, a large green space, and two full-service bars overlooking the water. Todd described the concept as “a food truck park with a performance stage and a big green space along with two nice bars,” told Business Debut.
The venue is designed to accommodate a wide range of guests, with seating for approximately 250 to 300 and capacity for up to 1,000 standing. Guests can expect a mix of high-top, low-top, and waterfront deck seating, along with open space for events and recreation.
Programming will lean heavily into community use, including live music, markets, festivals, car shows, and school performances. “The idea is all the events will be free,” Todd told Business Debut, emphasizing accessibility for families.
Menu and Vision
The food truck lineup will be curated and diverse, with cuisines expected to include Asian street food, pizza, desserts, American gastropub fare, Puerto Rican options, and potentially seafood. Operators will be semi-permanent, allowing for consistency while supporting independent businesses.
Todd said the concept fills a gap in the area, bringing locally driven food and beverage options to a part of Viera dominated by national chains. “We’re bringing like a mom-and-pop feel… with authentic, locally operated food trucks,” Todd told Business Debut.
Affordability is central to the concept. “It’s affordable… the venue itself is free to come and enjoy,” Todd said, positioning Lakeside Social as an easy, repeat destination for families.

Ownership and Background
Lakeside Social is led by Daniel Todd, who brings several years of experience developing food and beverage concepts across Brevard County. Todd told Business Debut he has spent the past seven to eight years opening and operating multiple venues, each with a focus on atmosphere-driven dining and entertainment.
His portfolio includes Fourth Street Fillin Station, a converted gas station turned full-service restaurant and bar, as well as The Alibi Cocktails and Bites, an upscale cocktail lounge in Cocoa Beach. Most recently, Todd opened Dirty Bird’s Tiki Bar and Grill at 142 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL, a large-format venue with multiple bars, live music space, and rooftop seating.
Next door, he is also developing Dirty Nudes Ramen and Sake Bar, a new concept focused on ramen and sake service, further expanding his footprint in the area.
Todd said Lakeside Social builds on that experience but shifts the focus toward accessibility and community. “There’s really not a venue like it… that ties the curated food truck experience with the performance stage and the green space,” Todd told Business Debut, pointing to the project’s mix of food, entertainment, and open-air design.
He added that the goal is to create something both high-quality and approachable for the surrounding neighborhood. “The town of Viera has been waiting for something like this,” Todd told Business Debut.
