Destroyed by hurricane Ian, the Fort Myers Beach restaurant The Island's Pancake House is planning to reopen soon. Owner Brian Martins told FFBW that the space has been completely gutted and rebuilt.

The restaurant is still undergoing electrical and plumbing work, Martins reported. The goal is to re-open in six to eight weeks at: 2801 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.

Martins reported that the re-build has resulted in more space within the building. The concept will remain largely the same. Expect delicious breakfast and lunch seven days a week. The hours will be 7:30 am - 2 pm, with potential to expand as Martins figures out what will work best.

Keep an eye on the brand's Facebook page as they rebuild.
